Ranch Reviews.. :)

I dunno gang.. as in incredible as those pics are, an outside Small World facing just doesn't seem right considering what I've grown use to over the past couple decades.

There's not much depth to that facing, so I totally agree with whoever made the call to put the next facing inside a building. Seems right that way.

Well I must say that wasn't the reaction I was expecting!:faint: Ah well. I sincerely hope you get a chance to visit Walt's Park one day, although I feel sorry for whoever you may have as a tour guide. :lmao: Hehe, j/k.

I echo the statements made about Disneyland's warmth, charm, and attention to detail. I guess it's just something you don't get until you go. :confused3

As diznygirl pointed out the small world at Dland is the original from the World's fair that Walt designed. I don't know what else to say except that you are just flat out wrong about not having depth. Maybe you just can't see it from the photos, but as everyone has pointed out, its amazing. When I saw the SW at WDW I was shocked at how tiny and hidden it was.
I even went ahead and got the light red car to have a "full garage" as I was very pleased with VMK's decision to make the cars more obtainable. :thumbsup2
Do you mean the PINK car? :rotfl: congratulations on green too! :thumbsup2

You said it all right there! :thumbsup2

I was curious about what the WDW version of It's a Small World actually looks like, so I googled it and found a ton of pictures of the outer facade, as well as the point where you get on and off the ride. Maybe it's different when you're there, but honestly? The pictures made me feel a bit claustrophobic and it also made the various countries' images seem a bit too...stifled to me. Like there's a limit to how far things can go because of the walls and ceiling. You'd mentioned that the outdoor facade doesn't seem to have much depth, but I'm thinking it's maybe difficult to see in the pictures when you haven't seen it in person that it has quite a bit. It's not completely flat. There are multiple layers and it stretches incredibly high. There are also beautiful topiaries surrounding the entire area. The amount of land that Small World takes up is actually pretty significant when you consider the land there is fairly limited.

Also, as a sidenote. The outer facade of the WDW Small World is very much like our Fantasyland used to look, from the day that Disneyland opened. But they remodeled that in the early 80s and gave it more of a classic fairytale village look. Personally, I prefer the village look to the previous look.
