Ok, I just asked the same qustion about Tropicanna, but tell me about the Ramada.

We stayed at Hojo last year and LOVED it. However, currently for our dates Ramada is less expensive.

We are a family with a just turned 7 and 5 y/o who love to swim/play in the water. So, tell me about the pool. The Ramada pool looks great. However, are DH and I able to sit a one central location and be in full eye sight of the kids at all time or are there corner they could go around, thus requring more effort on my part (come on I am on vacation too, I would love to let my eye off the kids for 30 seconds)

However my kids do not like the walk home at night, How is the walk to Ramada vs Hojo?

We ate breakfast in the room last year, but would love to just grab and go something--muffins, bagels, fruit and of course the two most important coffee and milk or juice. How is the free breakfast??

Also we are a mom and dad who enjoy our cocktail while the kids swim, how does Ramada handle Vons delivery?

we may or maynot have a rental car, what is parking like?

With this being a motel type property, is parking lot traffic/people walking by the room an issues

Ok, basic info, what are rooms like--cleanliness and space

I m sure I lll think of more, but for now, thank you!!!

Ok - The Pool is great , very shallow at one end and quite deep at the other , water was crystal clear and pool is heated , you can sit and view the whole pool area from around the middle , there is a nice hot spa too.

The walk is about 5-8 minutes max , it is closer than HoJo's and an easier walk.

Loads and loads of parking onsite - free too.

Breakfast was basic , toast , cereals , fruit , pastries and donuts coffee and juice , it worked for us and saved us quite a few dollars

Rooms were very clean and a good size , we were in a premium room at the rear of the premises and it was very quiet , the beds were super comfy too.

We have stayed there 3 x, 1 x with premium room that gave us more space.
The pool was very nice, large and good amount of shallow end.

Traffic didn't seem too bad.

Walk was quick.

Didn't like the double beds as much as Queen.

Tropicana was a shorter walk and better beds but the pool isn't as nice.

We stayed at Ramada Maingate last year and Hojo's this year. The rooms at Hojo's were definitely a step up, though RM's rooms weren't bad by any means. Couple of things to keep in mind: if you are on the ground floor, you will have cars parked right in front of your room and there is always the chance of inconsiderately loud people and car alarms going off (we experienced both) so you may want to ask for an upper floor. The walk is definitely shorter (by about half) to the RM vs. Hojo's. The breakfast is OK, but the coffee was really bad. There was a coffee place near the lobby last time that now serves food but if they serve the same coffee, that is a better bet for you. Also, we could see the fireworks from our room, so just sat on the edge of the bed on night looking out the window.
