Looking for advice on the above two properties.

Ramada Maingate Premium room vs Desert Inn - both offer continental breakfasts , both easy walk to Disneyland , but which is better

Has anyone stayed at either properties and can offer any views ?

I've stayed at Desert Inn...the room itself is very comfortable and clean...they even have a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, which is very convenient...but the breakfast is ridiculous! Really, it's just slices of bread that you can toast, small cheese danishes, cut up oranges, very dry cereal, juice and coffee.

Don't plan on getting full on that.

You can't beat the location though!!! It's right across from the crosswalk to head right into the parks!

Next time my DH and I are making ressies, Desert Inn will be our place, but we're gonna bring our own breakfast items!

Stayed at both. Breakfasts are not much at either...pool is way better at Ramada and rooms seemed a bit newer too.

I've stayed at the Ramada Maingate before, and I really did not like it at all. The rooms were not very clean, the hotal was very noisy, so there was no way of taking a quiet afternoon nap if needed, and overall, it just seemed to be too little when we were paying too much.

Thanks for your replies guys .

Firefox2 would be interested in what type of room you were in , was it the newly refurbished premium rooms ? That's what we're looking at for our next trip.

Cheers

I believe it was a deluxe?? room, not a premium room that we were in. We did have some issues with housekeeping, our bags had been gone through, and someone used the toilet and never flushed, and we know neither of us had done that, so we just weren't impressed. The hotel itself was very noisy as well. That was a couple of years ago, they have made alot of changes from what I see, but I think my experience there turned me off of the place forever :confused3
