We ate there on 07/30 for dinner. It was myself, my 3 kids, and my parents. We ate a little earlier than usual (5:30ish) and were seated in a room all by ourselves. Service was AMAZING and we really liked our waitress Shelly. My Dad complimented the neck ties they where and asked where he could get one, she said you had to work there and jokingly said if she ever quit she would pass hers down to him. ;)

Food was by far one of the most amazing meals Ive ever had. I cannot say enough good things about this place, honest to goodness. My parents were blown away by the food as well. We took what seemed to be forever eating as we were savoring every moment of the delish-iss-ness!!

Upon returning from our trip, I took a moment to email RBJZ and share our positive experience with them. I also asked where I could purchase one of the neck ties as I thought it would be a nice gift for my Dad.

Checked my mail today.....and there was a thick envelope, containing a RBJK neck tie and a handwritten note from the manager saying he hopes my dad enjoys it and they were happy we had a pleasant experience. :wizard:

I was shocked!! That was above and beyond in my opinion and truly felt magical. :wizard::wizard::wizard:

Just wanted to share. :cheer2:

That's awesome!!!! We love JK, it's sooooooooooooooo yummy there!!!! :)

I love JK!! That is so fantastic that they went so above and beyond for your family.

Darn now I want some of their garlic bread :rotfl:

Im so glad you had a great time!! we are going there in less then 2 weeks our selves. I can not wait to try it :)

What a heartwarming story, MomofThree:goodvibes Thanks for sharing.

We love JK, too. I like the new menu, DD & I ate there last month.

Wow, that's so awesome that they sent a tie for your dad!
They really do give good service there. When my DM & I ordered a bananas foster one time, the mini stove didn't work for our waitress & she tried countless times to get the big flame on the bananas. She even got the manager to come and do it for us & every time they would make an attempt to make the flame, they kept putting in more rum! That really made me laugh & have a fuzzy feeling in my stomach.:rotfl:

Mmm....when we were there in April, there was a gentleman who was on a date with a female that were sitting right next to us on the balcony. They had ordered bananas foster and sent an order to our table for us to try. We thought it was sooooo nice and it was absolutley wonderful. :)

Awesome! :thumbsup2 Nice to read that your experience there was so wonderful. DH has been bugging me to eat there on our upcoming trip & I wasn't sure. This makes me think that we really should!!

Thanks for posting about RBJK! I've never been there, but now I want to try it!!

What a great story! We ALWAYS eat there when we're in the area. It's one of our favorites! (We're addicted to their gumbo.) :thumbsup2

What a great story, we had dinner there the night we arrived in Anaheim, it was wonderful, we ate on the balcony & enjoyed the sights & sounds of DTD.

Sorry to be off topic, but can you tell me if the jazz express serves bread pudding for dinner ? the menu here says no :(

we want to eat at both jazz kitchen and jazz express :)

As much as I enjoy the Dis, their info side for DLR is pretty lacking (sorry to anyone from here who has worked on their menu stuff).

Allears has a menu from Jazz Kitchen from this month, and they show bread pudding. (coincidentally, I'm totally making my own bread pudding tonight, yay, I even have the stale bread!)

You can also view the full menu for the Jazz Kitchen at their website: http://www.rbjazzkitchen.com/menus.php

However, they don't have the menu for the Jazz Kitchen Express there. I did take a picture of their menu and posted it on Yelp during my last trip in May: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/3QvG8vOZOZl99UjrsivYJg?select=dD3Q9u1P0AD4ZCPu0EXAuw
I just looked at it and it appears that they do serve the bread pudding at the JK Express (at least they did when I went).
