Raise your hand if...

I did...it went through my town about a mile from my house.... I remember I was pretty young...... I also remember a bunch of planes writing red, white, and you across the sky all day.

How did you get a tshirt?
I participated with my friend, my sister, her friend and my parents. I was in 11th grade. We just gave our money and stood there in a line. When the song was done that was it.
We did this in Pittsburgh.

I lived in the burbs north of Chicago at the time. We were all so pumped.

I did! We were in washington dc on vaction when we did it!

My now mil got them for us when she signed us up in advance.

Yes!!! Got the T BUT was never able to do it...I got serious, serious FOOD POISONING the day before... I was so sick!! I was 11 ... and so incredibly BUMMED!!

They gave us some spot in boo-foo southern Illinois. My mom had to call and get it redone to Hinsdale......

I could sing you the song if you were here...:rotfl:

I did! A teacher took a bunch of us to Dallas. I haven't thought about that in years................ :goodvibes

 Yep. My sister and I and some friends drove to Wichita Falls for it. I don't have a t-shirt for it :(, but I do still have my Live Aid t-shirt with the rainbow striped Africa-shaped guitar on it :).

Didn't do it but my friend and I still occasionally break out into the song. :scared1:

My father and older brother did it in New York City. That was the day of my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary party and him not being there was pretty big.

There was a bunch of us camping together (family) that weekend so we did our own version - "Hands across the Campground". I think there were about 15 of us. We probably looked pretty lame.

Oh my gosh!!! I did it!! Can't believe I forgot about that. It was so cool.

We live in St. Louis and were on a highway (sorta). I remember as far as I could see were people holding hands. Brings a tear to my eye!!

What great memories...thanks!!

I did! But I don't think we paid anything? Definitely no tshirt. I lived out in the sticks and there weren't nearly enough people to participate so they were begging people to go out and hold hands. Mom loaded us in the car and we went. I seem to recall that I got to hold hands with a guy I had a crush on so it was a very good time for me! I think she still has photos, but not sure.

I did!!:wave2: I got the shirt too! I was at one of the "ends"; The Queen mary in Long Beach, CA!! It was really fun because we had all the entertainers etc....
