Raise your hand if you're going to the Land of the Mouse in June 2012

*raises hand* We're going to be there June 6-9 on our way to Oahu. :)

Change of plans with the Carsland opening. We are now doing DL on the way HOME from Aulani. We'll be at the DLH June 18-23.

We are doing DL at the end of June and Aulani at the end of July. Would love to hear how your Aulani trip goes!

We are in!! My hubbie & I have booked our flights for June 17th-21st. We are staying two nights in Manhattan Beach - Shades & two nights at a DL hotel. Have not booked DL yet.

I am so excited for our first DL trip!!! Now I just have to convince my DH to ride the coasters with me!!! I am so excited about the DL Space Mountain!!!

The coasters huh? You want to read about June in the second post, because this year big things are happening. I'd aim for 3 days at DLR as a minimum.

Are you Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz? If so you can catch Phineas and Ferb at thier late morning to late afternoon dance parties somewhere on the Parade Route.

We will be arriving at the hojo on the 2nd.. We will be in the parks 3rd-6th. So Excited! My kids don't know about it. I plan on waiting to tell them until we are on our way. :yay:

Driving down from Vancouver, B.C. June 2nd (will arrive June 3rd) at Hojo's. Very excited and the kids have no idea (we'll be the large 5 kid family...ages 12 down to 7 months!). Didn't think we'd make it this year so we are very excited that we are able to swing it! It will be 6 years since we were last in Disneyland!

SWEET!!!! I am slightly concerned about the Grad Nite. Oh well! I am hoping two adults can knock out some attractions with relative speed.

2 nites is all I can get out of the DH. He has been dying to stay at Shades while the kiddos are away at summer camp for 5 nights. While the kids are away...
Also, we are supposed to be on a reconnaissance mission. We are simply trying to get the lay of the land before we bring the entire crew next June.

Are you Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz?

I am so BUSTED!!

First trip to Disneyland with the extended family (niece, nephew, brother-in-law as well as parents, sister and my wife) June 3-7.

Will be going basic at the Super 8 on Katella for $61/night. Anyone heard of a better last-minute deal for these dates, perchance?

And any more rumors of early previews for Matterhorn/CarsLand on these dates? Wishful thinking here, probably, but the wife and I are AP holders, so that might be worth something if a project is ahead of schedule.

Looks like all the DVC studios at GC are booked so we passed on the waitlist and reserved a premium view room at DL for June 1st-4th.

Haven't been to Disneyland for over 10 years. Last time was our 20th anniversary. This trip we will celebrate our 31st anniversary and my 53rd birthday.

Just can't wait. I need my Disney Fix...LOL

I hate to break it to you but expect crowds. It's going to be up and down how the crowds work. Sunday really crowded because of SoCal APs getting thier last weekend day to try Cars Land before their Summer blockout. Monday not as bad, because it's a weekday. Tuesday Grads this late in June will have an all day effect, though they look to be small in numbers. Wednesday probably the best day, SoCal APs blocked and no Grads. Thursday no APs, but Grads. The worst problem I see in the post Cars Land open with the Grads is they all get two FPs. I expect 1 or 2 of thier FPs to be used on Radiator Springs Racers.

The official hours for you visit will be out next week. Grad Nites start next week. Use early hours since the Grads will rarely show up for park opening. Grads will primarily stick to E-ticket attractions so do this on non Grad Nite days and use FP on Grad Nite days. See WoC on a Grad Nite.

Just my guess Matterhorn will have a soft opening though maybe not that early.

Cars Land will not. It has AP previews scheduled on the 11th.

Just booked flights to take a trip down on June 9-11 to try to catch the AP previews. Beyond that, details are still TBD.

We were trying to do the same...go the weekend of AP preview. After checking out flights this morning we decided to go the first week in June. The flights were half the price of the following weekend. We are going in August, so we will still see Carsland, etc.

I'm meeting my sister and we are going from June 1-4, staying at the Park Vue. I was able to get 4 round trip tickets for $300. Can't be beat! :goodvibes

Looks like we'll be getting our next APs 7 months earlier than expected... we will probably be at DLR the weekend of 6/9! Number of days, where we're staying, etc. is all TBD. We only live a few hours away, but had decided to skip AP's this year in anticipation of our upcoming Aulani vacation in November. But we kept talking about what to do for my June birthday, and I kept halfheartedly coming up with ideas like SD Zoo, Morro Bay, etc. but my DH could tell what I really wanted. And he figured, if we're going to spend money anyway, may as well go where we really want! Then we spoke to a friend we met on our cruise last year who will be there that weekend, and we'd love to see them again, so it's all coming together!

Can anyone point me to any good resources on using Priceline? :worship: We're really not picky about where we stay this trip, but would like to save some money considering we're getting Premium AP's this time, and I need to cut corners somewhere. I've just never used Priceline before, though I'm familiar with the general concept. TIA.

www.betterbidding.com Read about how to narrow down possibilities and how much to bid.

Remember that parking fees and other possible fees may be added to your bid.

I totally LOVE the name your own price thing on price line. Just for fun, I looked at thier listed prices for our dates (4-8 June). They are really good if you want to pick your hotel. The best price I saw was $98 for a 4 star hotel, I think it was the Anehime Hilton. Here's what I do:
1) enter your check in date and how many nights you need.
2) pick perameters: I pick Anehime north and south (5 & 6 on the map) and 3 1/2 & 4 star hotels
3) place bid: I always start with $69. 95% of the time I get it.

I don't get a place right across the street from the DL enterance, but the hotel is much nicer and the shuttle picks us up from in front of the hotel lobby.

WOW, great rates, had to go to San Antonio, TX two weeks ago...$600/RT per person. Really sucks.

Yes, we couldn't pass up those cheap flights.

San Antonio is my favorite city in the US. :goodvibes

We still are driving for our trip in August. Can't wait to see Carsland!

Thank you both! I will be working on booking a hotel this evening, and it sounds great to get a cheaper hotel than we normally get. Esp. if there is a shuttle!

We are not planing to go, but now we are planing to be there June 13-16th since my DH won Car's Land sneak peak party passes. I believe we will be staying at Tropicana Inn again. :)
