Rainy, rainy, waiting for wind...

In north Atlanta. Wow, it is a yucky day. I wonder if the schools will close tomorrow?
I am supposed to have new floors put in tomorrow, outlook not good. I wish they would just go ahead and reschedule. They told me they'd call and let me know. I would like to know if I need to get up and dressed at the crack of dawn before they start banging at the door.

OK, just bored and waiting for the school bus to come...

they are saying we might get up to 50 mph wind. Did your schools close today? Some in the Atlanta area did, but ours didn't. I think the worst is supposed to be tonight.
I see you still have power, though?

Yup, very nasty looking here in Atlanta but so far it's just been like an average rainy day. Our power here at work flickered off for few seconds. Made my computer shut down!

Yep, wind picking up. Just had a big ole' gust come out of nowhere! Then it was gone... Those pine trees were looking a little too floppy... It will be interesting to watch them tonight when the wind gets stronger.
Tornado watch in my county now...
I think I'm gonna go ahead and give kids a bath in case power goes out this evening.

I hate this weather! I'm south of Atlanta (Locust Grove) and it's realllly windy and rainy. We had trees all down our road with Frances, I'm sure we'll get some issues with Ivan too. The next county over (about 15 minute drive) just got out of a tornado warning...those are what freak me out. I moved from California over 10 yrs ago, but I'd take an earthquake anyday over the fear in the anticipation.
Hope I don't lose power again like the last storm!! Our kids are out of school this week anyways, so no need to cancel, which I'm sure they would.
I have friends in Gulf Shores and Pensacola Beach, still waiting to hear how they are...

Yep, just lost my wooden umbrella on my patio table. Split in two and fell over. Also got a river going thru my backyard. Why does hubby have to work late tonight?!?

Course, Cobb County has yet to close school for tomorrow. Why are they always the last darn county to close?!?
