Does anyone have good ideas on what to do on rainy days. It looks as if three out seven days will be spent in the rain. I have a 4 yr and 21 months old. Help! I need great ideas to keep everyone in a happy Disney mood. Did I also mention I'm bringing my husband.HAHA.

Keeping touring the parks. A good majority of the rides and attractions are indoors and so are the waiting areas. Take advantage of the fact that many people will head for the hotels when the rain comes -- lower crowds=you seeing more.

Enjoy your trip. :umbrella:

if you dont feel like touring the parks when the rain comes (depending on the time your going plan for a mini shower everyday) go back to your hotel and get out some books on tape. These are great for entertaining kids nad most of the time by the time they end the rain has stopped and you can go back out. Kids usually never get bored of these and they're great for the car/ plane when the little ones are just itching to get out. they come in just about any story imaginable including most disney ones! Good Luck!

That's what rain gear is for! Like the pp said, most of the attractions are indoors. Getting from attraction to attraction w/out getting wet can be troublesome, but if you focus on the fun instead of the rain you'll be fine. We've been there in all types of weather. The only times I was miserable was when I wasn't prepared. One thing I recommend if you're going to use poncho's though - buy one at Disney or get something similar that is more durable and can be re-used. Just skip the flimsy plastic ones from the dollar store - those kind tend to stick to your skin and become uncomfortable fairly quickly. I normally like to wear a lightweight hooded jacket that is water resistant material and hangs at least to the tops of my legs, but one thing that I like about ponchos is they're plastic so water won't soak thru no matter how wet it gets. When it's been really, really wet (like when we were there during hurricane Jeanne last fall) I have worn a poncho over my lightweight jacket because the jacket will only withstand so much water. Just some food for thought. Oh yes, speaking of Hurricane Jeanne. I found after spending about 36hrs cooped up in a room with a toddler that any day spent walking around in the rain at WDW is better than being cooped up inside. :) Hope you all have a great trip! :earsboy:

Don't let the rain stop you! Take advantage of the smaller crowds - from all the other people who will stay in out of the rain!

Bring ponchos - and an umbrella too, because it is just nice to not have the rain beating down on your head, even if your head covered!

If you are bringing your own stroller, I have seen clear raincovers that will fit over most models. Not sure if they are big enough to fit over a rental.

If you really don't want to go out in the rain, you could probably find lots of things to do at the resorts.

besides bringing those ponches I'll be carrying our water shoes around the parks - Id rather have to carry them than wear wet sneakers!
