WDW trip starting on Sat. I checked the weather and it predicts 80% chance of rain on Sunday. Any ideas of raining day activities if we don't go to the parks for 3 girls 11,9 &2 We are staying at Beach Club.

Downtown Disney has Disney Quest, if you add water parks and more feature to your tickets. My ds is 13 & has always loved it.

Boardwalk Hotel, across the lake from you, has entertainers that roam the lobby in the evenings.

Your hotel will likely have kid's activities planned. I would check.

Buy ponchos & umbrellas before you leave home. Wander through Epcot. Mexico is inside the pyramid.

I'd go to a park. I'd get a poncho and go to the parks.
I just checked accuweather and it says 52% chance of showers and 0.23 inches. Weatherbug had the chance of rain even lower (30%?). It doesn't sound like it is going to rain all day.

Unless it's a day long, torrential downpour...

Cancel that.... nothing stops us from going to the parks. The only time we stayed at the resort due to rain was when they virtually locked the doors and wouldn't let people out due to the severe storms. ::yes::

Rainy times are the best times to be at the parks- short, short lines!

Personally I like MK in the rain simply because everything is close together so you're ducking in and out pretty quickly. Plus almost every ride and attraction contains an indoor element (almost).

If you don't mind plain ponchos and want to save a few bucks we got ours at Walgreens. Same quality but much cheaper than the ones in the parks.

And take extra shoes. The worst part of doing the parks in the rain is when everything dries out later except your shoes, lol.

I know people say rainy days are good because it makes the parks less crowded, but we detest rainy days at Disney. If we have a choice, I would choose to go to DHS in the rain - small park, less walking, and most (all?) queues and attractions are indoors.

If it's raining, Disney Quest will be busy. We're two adults and did not enjoy Disney Quest at all, but I can see where it would be appealing to young boys who are gamers. As a female, not sure how appealing it would be to girls unless they are into video games.

If you have a package booked, you should receive vouchers for free admission into Disney Quest that you can use.

The forecast is still in flux. Earlier this week, it had Sunday at a 60% chance of rain, then yesterday it was listed at a 20% chance. Now it says 80%. I don't really take a lot of stock in the forecast until about 2 days in advance.

Yep- we have had a couple of great moments on miserable rainy days. We always throw the poncho on and keep going. Rain doesn't stop us. We were there in a 2 day monsoon a few years back in December and it was fairly cold too. The first day of it we were at MK. It was pouring, the park had emptied out, and there were no lines so we were walking on almost everything. As we were sloshing down a pathway back in Frontierland with DD, then 3 or 4, holding my hand, she looks up at me with a huge smile on her face and says "This is the best day ever! You never let me play outside in the rain at home!" Totally melted my heart. The next day we were at AK, it was still pouring and there was no line for Safari. The CMs let everyone stay on the vehicles and ride it as many times as we wanted. The few people that were waiting would either have room to get on with us- or a few people would get off and then there would be enough room for those waiting. The animals were loving the rain and were playing in it. It was great.

As usual there is little to no agreement amongst the various weather sites on the POP for Sunday. However they pretty much agree that the amount of rain should be minimal (around 1/3 inch) and winds should be light. So given the absence of a predicted monsoon or hurricane, and assuming your family is relatively healthy and unlikely to melt, I'd pack ponchos and go to the park as planned.
