rainforest restraunt at down town disney

We wne to Rain forest and loved it. Can anybody go or is the Rain Forest just for Disneyland Hotel guess? We did stay at Disneyland Hotel. I wished that we went more to Rain forest the kids loved it. :cloud9:

Rainforest Cafe restaurants are all over the country and open to everyone. They are not in the parks so anyone can visit.

Lollipop's Mom-
That wouldn't be the one in Vancouver at Eaton's Mall?
My wife and I ate there, oh about six years ago, just as Eaton's was about
to close up.
The restaurant wasn't too busy, but we enjoyed the food and the waitress was very helpful about giving us directions on how to get to the ferry to take us across to Vancouver Island.
I always wondered if that RFC was still there or if maybe the whole mall closed up.

we ate at the Mcdonalds inside disneyland one day for lunch and then for dinner we went to Rainforest cafe, we loved it and there wasn't that much difference in price from Mcdonalds. We plan to go again when we are at Disney this fall.

I called the RFC safari club # at the website. The young lady, Patricia, said that the only way to join the club was to go to the RFC itself and sign up. It also seems to be good at other Landry's restaurants. I hope so. I may go to Katy Mills and sign up to be sure.

Our kids enjoyed the atmosphere. It was one of the more expensive places to dine in the area. We went for our son's birthday - it was his choice for the restaurant that night and it was fun. We split a volcano as his "birthday cake."

There was a Rain Forest Cafe in the Eaton's Centre Mall in Metrotown Burnaby but it unfortunately closed down about 3 or 4 years ago. The chain was losing some money and there was a bus strike here that limited their tourism business at the time. The nearest one to Vancouver is in Seattle at the Southcentre Mall. We went down there about a year ago. We love the atmosphere and made a point of going to the one in Downtown Disney when we were there in June. The food is a bit pricey but the atmosphere is worth it!

We like it, but my brother and his family (his triplets were 5 at the time) had a rough time there. One of his kids had a complete melt-down - he was over-stimulated! Being in the parks, then going there was too much for the little guy. (of course, this was during the holidays, when everything was crowded too.)

So - take into consideration your own kids & their mood. (ours werren't too little when they went for the first time & LOVED it! But they were used to all things Disney from a young age!)

Lydia,

That's the one I was thinking of, in Burnaby. My wife and I spent the night at the Radisson Burnaby and went to the mall for the evening. I noticed the mall itself was pretty empty. Not being familiar with Eaton's(except for hearing the name), I assume the company going out of business would be comparable to say, Macy's, going out of business here in the states.
I always wondered if the RFC was still there. Thanks for the info!
