The food is decent. It isn't the best I've had, but on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say 7.5.

I've had the chicken-fried steak with mashed potatoes and cole slaw, and it's pretty tasty. I've had some of their mixed drinks too. They aren't that bad, IMO. Like others have said, if it's not for the food, it's for the awesome atmosphere. Usually about every 15 mins or so (might be more frequent, not sure), thunder rumbles around the whole building, the lights dim, and the animals in the eating area all make noise, as if it's a thunderstorm. There isn't any real rain (thank goodness

), but kids get a kick out of it.
Yes, the volcano is a MUST! I've had it every time I've gone, and I think it's $12.99, again not sure of the current price, but you get a bunch of scoops of ice cream, surrounded by super warm brownies and hot fudge, with a sparkler (sometimes...other times just a sparkle spout pom pom lol) coming out the top, to make it look like a spewing volcano. Usually, every time someone gets a "volcano", when they bring it out, the servers will scream "VOLCAAAANNNOOOOO!" and make noise until they bring it to you. It really is a lot of fun. Make sure you have a craving for it though, because they give you A LOT.
I'd say go just to say you've been there. The food is decent enough to make it worth it, and the dessert is just amazing. THAT is worth it for me.
