I said this info in another thread, but thought I'd repost so more people could see it if interested....

The Safari Club card is a member card with great benefits available at Rainforest Cafe's on Disney property.

I have the Safari Club card and it's GREAT!! Especially at busy times!

It costs a one time fee of $15, and can be used immediately. You buy it in the store, and they give you a temp card. Show it at the hostess stand and they will seat you as soon as a table opens for your size party. This can save you an hours wait during busy times for a party of four or five. If you're a party of two. Stay close as a table is usually ready within 5 minutes!

Then when you are seated you get a choice of 10% off the total check OR a free appetizer. There are about three or four app choices. It is well worth the 15 bucks because in about 4 weeks you get a 10 dollar certificate good at any Landry's group restaurants including TREX!!

The Safari Club Card works at both Rainforest Cafe's at Disney, and TREX!! You can also use it at the Landry's down the road from DTD. TREX though does not accept it for priority seating, but allows the 10% off or free app.

The best thing about this card, for us, was the priority seating at Rainforest. Otherwise, we would have had a two hour wait the last time!

The priority seating is great. We visited the RFC at Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise Florida. The place was packed and people were sitting around outside the restaurant waiting for their names to be called. When we showed our card we were sent right up to be seated. It almost pays for itself after its second use. The cost is $15 and they will e-mail you a $10 coupon, so if you visit more than once a year, it will be worth it.

We always opt for the using the discount instead of the free appetizer when we use our card at the restaurants. In the past you used to be able to pick the appetizer you wanted and get up to $8 off the appetizer, now I think they have a chefs appetizer preselected and it usually isn't something we want.

Not sure if they actually sell the card at TRex. Though you can always go over to the RFC and buy one in the gift shop and then take it to TRex.

I have one of these as well. I got it years ago when I lived in Wash D.C. and we went to the one there.

We have used it several time at RFC and we just used it last month at T-Rex. It has paid for itself many times over.

Oh, and if you lose it, just call them and they replace it for like 5 bucks.

The other thing is that you will be on a mailing list and get additional coupons for free things and extra discounts.

Last I shopped at RFC, they also gave a shopping discount off at the store.

The unfortunate thing is that they don't have a way to get it over the internet at their website. I have no idea why in this age of the internet.
