One of my twins is VERY hesitant to trying new foods, regardless of how close they are to what he does eat. I'm trying desperately to get him to try new foods before we go; he will be 2 weeks shy of 7 when we go and I"m trying to reason with him....not going well. lol. I cannot get him to try chicken tenders or a traditional fried chicken breading. He ONLY eats Purdue nuggets that have the fine breading on them. Anyone know if the dino-shaped nuggets at the Rainforest Cafe are Purdue??

I just did a Google image search and found a bunch of pictures of their chicken nuggets. You might want to start there, as you’ll be able to cross reference with what you’re used to eating at home.

Just tell him he can choose anything he wants from the menu. You'll never win this argument so don't try. I wouldn't even bring it up or discuss it now. The more of an issue it is now, the worse it will be then.

Our son was picky and we traveled internationally and he had to choose something to eat, period. Now, he's 33 and will eat just about anything. Good luck!

most likely not Purdue. are you sure the Purdue ones he eats are regular ones or could they be rice flour breading. can not say for Disney but the ones at the park I work at come in a plain brown box and not a brand name you could find at the store. and yes people have asked us. not that you asked but you can not bring in the ones he would eat and ask for them to be warmed up. they will not be able to warm up out side foods. this is a government rule that parks can not change

Not directly about the nuggets but I feel
Your issue. I knew ahead of time I’d have a hungry crabby kid bc shed claim to not be hungry when she didn’t like the food choices then she’d crash from hunger and irritate everyone. I brought her favorite crackers, lots of them, on our trip and just handed them to her at restaurants. It’s vacation and it’s not worth the stress. I wanted to share in case your child has a similar portable food that you can throw in your bag to take. It saved us a lot of hassle and stress and no restaurant ever complained in our experience at Disney or at Trex.

If you can bring the nuggets with you and keep in the mini fridge so he can have the ones he likes.

When my DD was younger the only chicken nuggets she would eat from grocery stores were the Perdue Dino nuggets. (Not frozen, refrigerator section). We ate at T-Rex multiple times and she always ate the Dino nuggets they had.
She is now 16 and still requests T-Rex for dining and will order the nuggets.

One of my sons was an extremely picky eater. Every time we went to a restaurant was a challenge as he refused to eat most things on the menu. Sometimes he would only eat a baked potato and a roll or the restaurant would make him a dish of buttered spaghetti. I know how you feel but try not to stress. If you order the nuggets just don't say anything more about them to him.
He is now 32 and eats anything, including very unusual foods. He loves Food and Wine and tries everything!

I think our sons were "twins" LOL! We meet him and our DIL at F & W and go figure, he's the one who tries it all!

I think that you’re right about our sons lol!
My youngest liked pretty much everything and still does but his brother was a culinary challenge.
