Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom

We're staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and want to eat at Rainforest Cafe. Can we eat at the Animal Kingdom location if we're not going to that park? I read somewhere that there is an entrance from both outside and inside the park. To go to Downtown Disney, the bus makes a stop at Typhoon Lagoon and it's a little further so we thought we would try the AK location if possible.

Yes, you can get to the restaurant without entering the parks. There is a separate entrance just before the main entrance at the parks. I have both gone in and out this entrance/exit to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. Enjoy!

Yes there is a second entrance. We went Christmas day and got very sick on very yuchy food. This is the second year we did not like the food.

Sorry you didn't like the food. We love it. We eat there at least twice a trip. We ate there a few weeks ago and everyone enjoyed their meals.

If you want to eat at RFC this is definately your best bet, it is just a few minutes away from your resort. Lots of times there are character greets just outside of AK too, so keep your eyes open if you're interested in meeting some characters.

The atmosphere at the RFC is pretty cool, and my food has been pretty good. We sometimes have to wait a while for a table but there is plenty to look at in the meantime. I had a delicious Chicken Cesar salad while there.

We love RFC. We make a point to eat there at least once a trip or more. We have tried their location in Nashville, TN too. The food is always awesome! Maggie

We have eaten there twice and thought they were good both times.

ETA: I believe this is where we had the desert volcano (sp) very yummy.
