Hello,

Just wanted to check on this one and pretty much all restaurant reservations during my stay. I got a reservation at 4:45pm and the park closes at 5pm. Do they seat at 5pm or how does it work? Usually when I make dining reservations, you easily have a 15 minute grace period, but they usually aren't at park closing.

The entrance is outside the park anyway.

Personally I never make an ADR with the intention of being late, and I do everything in my power to prevent "things" from happening. They do not HAVE to abide by any "grace period" - especially a non-Disney owned location.

Its really more the point of not having that much time in the parks as it is from the new hours that we really don't want to give up the last few minutes. I'm really wondering if 5pm is the last reservation time or is that more of closing time.

Animal Kingdom in particular seems to not do the post-close ADRs, so I would venture to guess that would be their final ADR.

If you want to maximize your park time but really want to do Rainforest Cafe, have you checked the Disney Springs location for a later time?

Why don't you detour into the restaurant and ask them on your way into the park?

planning things now and not there at the moment, plus I think it will be far too late that that point to make changes. As for the disney sprngs suggestion, I may do that, I just really try to avoid that as its kills so much time back and forth. We are already going for TREX and I would skip that if it wasn't for the kids insisting.

I was just thinking if you made it at 6:30 or so you could be in AK the entire time and Lyft/Uber to Springs - no park time would be lost that way.

Yes, we could uber/Lyft, I don't really love that though, but it is a good thought. We will consider it.

The other option would be take the SSR bus at park close and walk from there (I think people have said the Congress Park stop?) to Springs.

I believe that if you go to the main WDW site and pull up Rainforest Cafe under dining/restaurants, there will be a calendar icon where you can choose your specific date and it will show the restaurant hours for that day. Good luck.

We had a better experience at the Disney springs location last trip. The AK restaurant was our longest wait - 45 min after ADR time and food took a long time which is tough since we had a one year old along.

We have always gone right at or even after park closing and have never been rushed. However they do start to clear and close off parts of the restaurant.
