rainforest cafe AK

I've read varies post about rainforest in DTD, I'm still not clear on if it's covered under Dining plan. Disney brochure says surge charge might apply but doesn't say what that means. How about rainforest cafe in AK, anyone have any experience with that and the dining plan

I just checked Disney's web site. RFC at DTD & AK are not listed on the dining plan. Where did you see it?

RFC is only covered under the "Premuim" plan that is dining and entertainment. I called today to make an AR at the RFC, and the CM asked if I was on a dining plan. I said that I didn't think it was covered on the dining plan (I have the free one) and he explained about the premium deal.

It is my undrstanding that Rainforest Cafe is NOT on the plan because it is not a disney property - simply rents space from Disney. You will notice, it is outside of the official AK park and at Downtown Disney as well. This would be the same as using the plan at the McDonalds at DDT. It ain't goin' to happen!!!!!!!!!!! (I wish it would)

Well I just made a ressie for AK one and I told her that I was on the dining pkg and she asked which one. I said MYW Dining and that was all she said, so I need to know if I should cacel my ressie.

Since it isn't on-par with the service of Disney-owned establishments, it is too easy to be disappointed there. Our service was so bad last time, it doesn't even warrant a second chance. Counter service at AK is way better.

If you really want to "experience" RFC, just visit the gift shop and walk around the restaurant. You don't need to spend hard-earned money on mediocre food and bad service to do that.
