Is there a Rainforest Cafe outside of Animal Kingdom? Is it on the dining plan? Can you make a reservation there? THANKS!

Yes it's there
Not on the dining plan
I believe you can make ressies though

cALL THE RESTURANT DIRECTLY NOT DISNEY WORLD - 1-407-938-9100

Disney says they are all booked up, but restaurant let me make reservations.

We actually like this one better than the one at DTD. I don't know if it is being able to get into the air conditioning after being at MK. We usually do lunch on our AK day and have even called the morning of and made lunch reservations.

Supposedly with the safari club, you don't even have to make reservations to get priority seating. It is only $10 and if you get an appetizer, you just about pay for it the first time you use it.

We got into RFC and T-Rex without ressies in under 5 minutes on our last trip! And T-Rex was exactly at dinnertime! Never hurts to ask if you end up not making the ressies ahead of time! Many of the people you see hanging around are browsing the store apparently?!

I have the Safari Club card and it's GREAT!! Especially at busy times!

It costs a one time fee of $15, and can be used immediately. You buy it in the store, and they give you a temp card. Show it at the hostess stand and they will seat you as soon as a table opens for your size party. Then when you are seated you get a choice of 10% off the total check or a free appetizer. There are about three or four app choices. It is well worth the 15 bucks because in about 4 weeks you get a 10 dollar certificate good at any Landry's group restaurants including TREX!!

The Safari Club Card works at both Rainforest Cafe's at Disney, and TREX. You can also use it at the Landry's down the road from DTD. TREX though does not accept it for priority seating, but allows the 10% off or free app.

They only charged me $10 in May for the card and we were able to use it on the nachos (which were 8.99). So it pretty much paid for itself.

:confused:That's interesting as I went there two days ago and their sign still says $15, and that's what I payed.

The apps that they allow for Free with the purchase of an entree are The Spinach Dip, Pita Quesadilla, and the Onion Ring tower....

My husband and I had breakfast there in May before the Park opened and we just walked up. They have the best cranberry waffle and I agree it is better than the DTD one. When I asked the waitress about ressies for future trips she said we wouldn't need them. So it is on my must do list now.

Can this card be purchased online?

As I recall, this restaurant is just outside AK, so you don't have to enter the park, correct? What about parking? Do you have to pay to park at AK in order to eat there, or do they have some free parking spots for restaurant guests only?

Thanks!

I am almost positive that you have to buy it onsite, but can use it immediately, so it isn't too bad.

I am not sure was up when we got the safari for 10 instead of 15.
