Rainforest Cafe. Ak or DTD ?

For our trip in Jan, I would like to eat at one of the rainforest cafe's. I have been to the one at DTD, but not AK. We are staying at POR, so DTD would definitely be closer, but do you prefer one over the other? It will be me, dh, dd 3, and ds1. Don't worry, dd has been before, and ds will love it!

I think both are about the same. I seem to get better service at the one DTD. We ate at AK twice and the wait staff just seemed rushed, a bit rude compared to DTD. It could just be us...
What are your plans for that day? Will you be at AK? It might be worth eating there instead of the travel back to POR then DTD.

We've eaten twice at both - better service generally at DTD than at AK. No idea why that is!

I know, and I agree about the food, but the kids love it so we go!

Oy! For DD's birthday, she wants to go to Rainforest Cafe. In Texas, not in WDW. But I hear the food and service are godawful. Help me. If we MUST go, is there some food item we should avoid/stick to? Keep in mind, I'm allergic to shellfish.

I like the Rainforest Café at Animal Kingdom for breakfast. We've been there twice to have breakfast before visiting the park and both times the place was fairly empty, service was good and our meals were tasty. (Then again, it's pretty hard to mess up breakfast.)
