Rainforest at AK, How long do buses run after park closing?

We leave in 3 days for WDW!!!! We are staying at the POP and have PS at the Rainforst at AK on Thursday next week. Our PS is for 5:45. How long do the buses run after the park closes? Will we have trouble getting back to the Pop after dinner? I don't want to have to take a cab because there is 10 of us.

Busses will run for 1 hour after Rainforest's last seating.

You are so smart to have thought of this!! I wish I was as smart when we went this past December. After coming out of the Rainforest, we waited about 40 minutes for a bus to the GF. Finally, a bus driver from one of the few buses that did pass by told us resort buses were no longer running and we needed to take bus to the TTC and then take that monorail to the other monorail. With3 kids in 2 strollers and my GM in awheelcahair and down & then up huge ramps, it was not good!! I'd say the commute back to GF was probably close to 2 hous and I vowed to remember for my next trip not to eat at the Rainforest after the park closes. So, in case you haven't guessed, My advice is do not do it!!!

Two monorails from TTC to GF?

Yes!!! I also thought the TTC one would stop at GF but a CM told us we had to transfer!!

In Nov. we had a PS at 5:45 (got there around 5:30) - we wanted to go to DD afterwards but had to go to a resort first, so we chose AKL. After we exited RFC, there was a CM there who asked where we were headed and directed us to a bus.

One other thought - if you're concerned about the bus, try to reschedule for a night when there's EMH at AK?

We were told that busses run well after the park closes because it is possible to park at AK and go to a different park. Then when that park closes (usually much later than AK) people need to get back to their cars. You might have to wait awhile to get a bus back but they do take the fact that people park hop into consideration.
