We have visited WDW in April, MAY and August.Having had the best weather in May.Howevever we are restricted by our teens and their examinations- thus leaving us with only late June or all of July - please help.Thank you.

June and Jcertainly July are very similar to August. Rain/thunder mostly afternoons or evening.

Slightly less rain perhaps early June than late although not by much

Can't be as bad as rainfall in our home town of Gloucester. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It is difficult when you cannot choose when to go, we are restricted to August.

June/July will be very hot, July is probably (sorry) the worst month of the year to go...it really is extremely hot, we think August is bad but last year July was worse.

You are always going to get a lot of rain, however, these tend to be afternoon or evening thunderstorms rather than persistent (uk type) rain.

You can usually tell as the day progresses , although the storms can often come and go very very quickly.

I think if you go June/July you just have to take your days easy, try and get to the parks in the morning and in the evening to avoid the worst of the heat, July can also be pretty crowded too...the big advantage though is the parks are open later, so you can take advantage of enjoying your stay there at cooler times of the day.

Sorry, if it's all doom and gloom - a holiday in the summer will be marvellous for you - you just have to be aware of the high temperatures.

Hi,

We've gone at the end of June beginning of July for the last few years. We choose this in preference to Easter as we can get 3 weeks and I think the parks are quieter although I wouldn't disagree that April/May is better for the weather.

Yes it's hot, yes it rains in the afternoons but to tell you the truth we like the heat and the rain is pretty predictable and I cant remember it ever raining in the morning.

Our children (9 & 11) wouldn't last a full day in the parks but I dont think I would either. We prefer to spend the morning in the park and either head out for a late lunch or just after lunch. We plan a couple of evenings back in the parks (Seaworld is especially nice in the evening) although sometimes we change this as the rain can linger into the evenings.

We also avoid direct sunshine - walk in the shade when possible and always get a villa with a covered lanai.

I think you'll have a great time in July but you may need to plan more carefully than in May.Get to the parks early, do the major rides first and use FASTPASS.
