It rains a little everyday in summer in Florida, right?? I mean, I've been watching the weather and all I ever see is "scattered t-storms." We're leaving on Saturday. It's not raining all day every day is it? When we went 2 Junes ago, it would rain in the late afternoon everyday. It felt good, then it was over. I can handle that, but if the weather there is like it is here - in PA - I don't think I can handle it. Anyone in the Northeast who can relate? I mean, if I don't see some sunshine soon, I might just rot.

I'm serious

At least I can count on Florida having warmer temps...right:rolleyes:

Well, the past couple of days it has been cloudy with on and off rain all day. Today it has only been a bit overcast but it doesn't look like it will rain until later on in the afternoon (if at all).

Last summer we were there during 4th of July and it was actually hotter back in NJ than it was in Florida. Since we always go to WDW during the summer months of July and August, our experience is hit or miss T-Storms in the late afternoon for no other reason than being a tropical climate. Most T-Storms are very brief. What you're referring to is low pressure storms that pass through which bring extended rain. They sometimes happen, but again, we haven't seem that occur too often in July and August. We just pull out the yellow ponchos, welcome the brief period of cooling rain, and keep moving!

You can definately count on the heat!!! You can pretty much count on the rain as well!:D

Lately here it's been raining hard every evening.

We've had a lot more rain this season than normal. It took me a while after moving to Orlando to understand what the weather forecasts here really mean. Partly Cloudy means that it will be sunny and clear with a few clouds in the sky (in Jersey, this meant GREY!). Scattered T-Storms usually means the normal summer storms that we get in the afternoon. It's usually beautiful before and after ths storms. They roll in, last for about 30 - 60 minutes, then move out again.

Ckay I can relate!!! I'm from upstate NY and this spring has been absolutely miserable. We get 6 days of rain one day where the sunshines then 6 more days of grey skies and wet rain. Today is our sunny day and I'm stuck at work!!! You can see the weather taking affect on everyone too ......we're all cranky!:(

I, for one, appreciate the weather interpretation. After having spent so many summer vacations there, I think you've pretty much nailed it! :D Despite that knowledge, we are easily discouraged about the potential for nasty weather.

Hvnzcaress & ckay87--I can SOOOO relate! The weather here in MI has been horrid! We are almost always swimming in our pool by this weekend, if not before--not so this year--we are having a tough time breaking 70º! Not a toe has been dipped in that pool yet!

I won't even talk about the rain--it's just so gloomy and depressing. Last year (this same time period) when we were in WDW, the weather was much nicer in MI than FL--warmer and drier. The weather in FL last vacation was more like a tropical storm (and we've visited during on of those, too--twice in fact)--it rained everyday almost all day for 5-6 days straight! I don't mean dribs and drabs, I mean torrential downpours that would stop the most diehard of visitors! We're seasoned vets here and after 4-5 days of that kind of weather, we were tired of it. We actually wanted to leave! It was also COLD! I don't find 75º warm when you're soaked to the skin! The air conditioning is unforgiving.

I'm trusting Pete and hoping its from his mouth to God's ear and the weather this trip is MUCH, MUCH better! My wishes for your visits as well! ;)
