Rain.. ?

As others have said too far out really to be accurate. Accuweather has been flopping back and forth. They are notorious for that. I would check local Orlando news stations and NOAA for more accuracy.

I just saw the Accuweather forecast, too. My friend is at WDW right now and is having sun and mid-80s, and Accuweather shows rain March 3-8 (my trip is Mar 3-10). I lived in FL for a few years and so has DH (at diff times) so I am trying to remind myself that when it rains in FL, it is usually short-lived and the sun comes back out--not like where I live now in the midwest where it takes days for the sun to come back!

I love Disney, but I have to say the thing I most look forward to is going from gloomy cold weather to sunshine so I can get through the rest of our looooong winter, so I am really hoping the forecast improves--once they can predict it more accurately.

Seeing everybody say they had a good time at Disney regardless of rain makes me feel better. I know I cannot control it but I am still worried. My mom & I both have naturually craaazy hair that we straighten. RAIN WOULD KILL THIS. I keep on thinking of the photopass pics with this nightmare on both ouf our heads ...

I will just pray for pixie dust and hope it will be easy.

The site confuses me because one day it says 'showers' and the rest 'rain'. So RAIN is more then SHOWERS?

oh lord I know I shouldn't worry ... but I CANT!! :)

I feel like I need to apologize. We will be in WDW that week too and our family has decided that our last name must mean "rain" in Swahili. It literally rains on us for every vacation we go on.:confused3

Our last trip to WDW was May 2009. From what I remember, the weather forecasters were calling for some rain but not much at about 10 days out. Well, it literally rained from the day we arrived in Orlando until the day we left...almost non-stop. And these were not your typical Florida showers, this was a constant downpour, all week. The weather channel kept saying "record rainfall". My family (myself, DH, DSs 9,7,4) had an incredible week. Sure, it was frustrating and we had to make some adjustments in our plans (and footwear) but we had a blast! It wasn't nearly as hot as it could have been and the crowds were relatively low.
So, in short, your trip is what you make it. Chances are it won't rain as much as it did last time and we plan on having a blast, no matter what! I hope you all decide to do the same! :yay:

I am the same way! I have wavy/curly/frizzy hair that looks shiny and smooth b/c I straighten it, but if it is rainy I will look horrid! I was actually just telling DD I will prob not ride Splash Mtn so my hair doesn't get wet! :lmao:

P.S. I just noticed you are also in MI and we leave on the same day!

Last time I was there it rained, it was great!

Bring an umbrella and a towel you'll be set! The lines disappeared instantly as every one ran for cover. I was only there for one day but was able to hit 3 parks and see several "e-ticket" rides.

It also made the heat more bearable.

Oh yes. I ride splash mountain in full poncho gear and hold it tight under my chin so NOO water gets near my straight smooth hair :)

Yes. I am in west michigan on the Lakeshore!! Where are you at? :) Maybe we will be on the same plane!!

We'll be in Orlando March 4-8, and ever since Accuweather started forecasting those days, I've been updating my boyfriend: "Our first day is going to be 83 degrees and sunny!" "Oh, now it's only going to be in the sixties for the first three days." "Now it's definitely going to be in the mid-seventies until Monday, and it'll rain on Saturday."

You just can't take it seriously so far out; the forecast one day seems to bear no relation to the forecast 24 hours later. But I admit, I was a little freaked out, too, when I checked this morning and it just said "Rain" for every. single. day. But I consoled myself with what everyone's saying above: even if it DOES just pour rain the whole time, at least we'll have the parks to ourselves, right? :cool2:

LOL! We are the same way. At least now with our March window, we are getting some other 10-day forecasts to compare with Accuweather's 15-day one. The funny thing is how different they all are! Even Accuweather's changed wildly from just yesterday to today. I noticed when I tried to click on their extra info, I was asked to subscribe to get that. ;)

Kinda funny, but I think they are changing their forecasts so wildly just to get some poor worrywarts to cough up a few bucks for their subscription service. :happytv:

As for me, those 2 for $1 ponchos sound like a good deal......:thumbsup2

And just like that we are back to sunny!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I'm not putting too much faith in the forecast this far out but I do keep checking it just to give myself SOMETHING to do!!!! :rotfl::rolleyes1

Buy ponchos and enjoy the parks. I actually don't mind when it rains as it thins the herds (except for the May monsoon we experienced in 2008 where it rained so hard day after day that you couldn't even see).

We like the Disney ponchos because they are pretty thick but you can get really cheap ones at home to take with you and just toss them when you are done.

We also wear ball caps to keep the rain off of our faces.

We were there for that moonsoon as well oy! But wasn't it 09? That was awful! After that we said we'll just go in Aug and at least get FREE DINING LoL, if we could withstand THAT we could take anything.
And it did rain this past Aug while we were there, but NOTHING like that May. We just put the ponchos on and kept going. :thumbsup2

Rain is your friend. People in the parks freak out and leave-this is a good thing.
As others have posted, buy ponchos and enjoy.

I personally have no faith in Weather forecast in general. The other day they called for 1 inch of snow by me and we got 7.

We'll be there at the same time. Accuweather forecasts change literally EVERY DAY. A few days ago, it was predicted to be 85 and sunny on March 3. Just wait and see as it gets closer. Also sometimes the showers can be scattered. Obviously pack rain gear, but accuweather is basically a guessing game that far out.

Seriously?!?!

It's only February 22 by my calendar. The weathermen couldn't even get the forecast correct for the upcoming 24hours as of yesterday morning!

It WAAAAAAY to early to be even slightly concerened about what they are predicting for a week+ from today!

:thumbsup2

We're in Grand Blanc but have also lived in Rochester Hills. We're flying out of Bishop. :)
