Rain, Surprise Birthdays, Rain, First Visits -(Ginny is deceased-Prayers for her.)

Hello! Ginny
so sorry to hear that your weather is not ideal...today we have a beautiful day...but this morning was humid and foggy...I would love to have you if you decide you want to move...but, remember it is nice and humid and very hot here most of the year!...I have a better idea we can both move to the beach!!! Danny would like that!

I had started collecting snow globes years back and stopped after about 10 it was just getting to crowded! I started by accident; when my grandmother passed away my dad gave me $200 and told me that was from her (I had been taking care of her for the last year) so I was walking through the disney store and seen the Mickey through the years globe for just about $150 so that is what I bought from my grandmother.
When Gwendolyn was born the disney store sold the figures of the disney characters I would buy her one each time we went in the store we have all the ones they had until they stopped carring them at our local store. She has quite the collection...I wonder if they are worth anything :rolleyes1:

Hope you have a great rest of the day! stay warm and dry!!! in this crazy weather...

I have that snow globe too. I think it is one of my favorites. I do that kind of thing too. When I get unexpected money I buy something with meaning and that will keep forever for memories. Sheri has this set of plates of cartoons that came with figurines. She got them when she was pg with Aust and when he was a baby. I hate to say but I think some of the things they have now are junky compared to what they used to be. IMHO.

I could so move to the beach. Don would come too. He just might go away for a week and come back. Then Ashton and I could build sand castles then you and I could sit in the beach chairs and have the men bring drinks to us so we wouldn't have to leave. We have terrible humidity here too so I can deal with that. I guess if it gets too hot I'll get a portable fan.:rotfl2:

Morning, Ginny! Sitting here at 32 degrees this morning! I'm sure you are colder than me.

Bundle up. Keep warm!

Morning Ginny,

I know that you are glad to see Thursday since I swear we had two Wednesdays this week.:confused3 When are you leaving for Kansas City?

Morning Ginny,

I thought it would never arrive. I spent 45 min at ToysRUs for a $10 error on Alex's xbox.

I am in no mood to work today. I wrote my check yesterday so I should be done.

We are leaving Springfield around 2 as we have massages scheduled for 7 at the Country Club Plaza. Yippee

I got you guys beat. It was 0 when we woke up with a windchill of 25 below when we left at 6:30 a.m. for work. I HATE WINTER IN CHICAGO!

Have a nice day everyone.

That's just sick. :rotfl2: Not hating winter in Chicago. The cold so early in the year. What will Jan and Feb bring?

Have you gotten any rest this week?

Have fun this weekend, Ginny!!!

Guarantied I will. I am taking tomorrow off too. Going with Sheri to Okla and going to stop and visit my dear cousin (inlaw) Her DH, my favorite cousin out of the 28 was killed 2 years ago this next week and I know it is a really hard time for her. We also get our Mary Kay from her so that will be a good visit. Then when we get home we'll get ready to head to Kansas City. Very excited for girls weekend out. I wish Sandi could have flown over from Nashville but they are in the middle of basketball season and she is on the committee and has to be there. Her loss.

Heck....that was mild compared to what January and February can be. I took a cab from the train this morning...no way was I walking seven blocks to the office. Nope...not doing it!

Mark is sleeping a little better but the shot really hasn't helped as far as the days go. He goes in tomorrow for a follow up and to discuss whether or not another one will be given in five weeks.

We are driving to Dubuque on Saturday to watch Mark wrestle (it might be the last time...he is going to try to redshirt this year and wrestle next year2010-2011 after all because his foot is just not heeled enough).

Ginny, you have a safe journey and a wonderful time.

That is the main reason I don't live further north. I am allergic to cold. Not really but it makes a good excuse.

I can't imagine having to go catch a train, then having to walk an additional amount. I complain about walking thru the parking lot. Ok, I'm a complainer.

You have a safe trip to Dubuque. I've been there many years ago and can remember how the town lies in those hills. I hope he can red shirt. He needs to heal completely for a sport like wrestling. Or as that sweet Don says "rasling". Gotta love him.

Good morning, Ginny. How was the trip? Did you have a good time? How was the massage?

Thinking of you today! Have fun. When the boss is away, Ginny will play! And I don't blame you one bit!!!! :dance3:

Good morning, Ginny. How was the trip? Did you have a good time? How was the massage?

Good morning Kathy. We had a wonderful weekend. Our hotel was fab. Right across the street from the Plaza. We stood out on the balcony and enjoyed the lights and music.

Our massage place was good. It is a chain that I'm not crazy over but it was cheap and next door to PF Changs. The girl was actually good and after I was a noodle. We stopped in at Changs and got dinner to go and went back to the hotel and ate and watched "My Life in Ruins". Very cute movie. We laughed a lot. On Saturday we shopped all day. After having lunch at Cheesecake Factory. Sunday we had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen and shopped. We got home last night at 7:30. Sheri had to go to Paducah, KY for 2 days and Cindy had to be at work at 6 this morning.

I bought The Office season 5 for Austin, me new hoop earrings. That was the end of my purchases besides food. The weather was in the low 40's so that was good. It did rain some on Saturday but not enough to stop us.

How was your evening out at the PF Changs? (I love that place) I think I said that. I hope you and Mark enjoyed your evening out. Does he feel better? I think I remember reading on my phone emails that he fell? That is not what he needs to do. I fell on Friday before we left too. Now Sheri is making me see the neurologist. I have an appointment on Thursday.

I'm so sorry I have been MIA...boy I am out of the loop...I'm getting too old to deal with a cold, two babies with a cold, rain, and now christmas!

I am so behind...

I am so happy to hear that you had a wonderful girls weekend!! sounds like a lot of fun!! I have never had PF Changs you are the first person I have ever heard like it! I went to go once with Gwendolyn and she had said she did not care for it...so we went some where else...:confused3 we went to Logan's Saturday...Danny actually likes it (we don't do too many chain resturants) our neighbors we were with do all the chains and love Logan's ...it was good just not as good as the local places. :confused3 Danny had the ribs (said they were really good)!!

Hope you have a great rest of the day!! and
BTW I'm glad you are going to see the neurologist better to be safe than sorry...
:santa:

Thanks for chiming in Connie. The first time I ate at PF Changs I wasn't crazy about it. It seemed loud and very crowded. But then I discovered lettuce wraps and I was hooked. The Chinese food here is so different. It's good but everything is breaded. Do we know how to live or what? Even in big cities the chinese rest. put Springfield style on their menus. To weird.

We have Logans and like it pretty well. We are one of the test cities for chains so we pretty much get all the new ones first. We are supposedly per capita have the biggest eating out base of population.

You two get feeling better. Christmas is very close.

Good morning Dear friends. I finally took a few pix of my poor skinny tree. I like it cause it doesn't take up tons of room. This year I placed it between the sofa and the fireplace in the living room. I have big packages to put under it and there is room in the back corner to place them. Of course not one package is wrapped. I really have lots to do, don't I?

THis angel ( there are several) I made after Don and I were first married. I wish I could remember how I did it. It is crocheted.

And these ornaments I made after Alex was born in 98. I actually bought them and painted their names on them. I'm such a cheat.

Andrew still went by Andy then.

For some reason Austin's did not come out clear. Darn cell phone
1260978676.jpg

Alex's is very blurry.

I forgot to take a picture of Princess' ornament.

Doc is back today so I'm busy darn it all.

Have a great day

I like your skinny Christmas tree. Like you said, it doesn't take up much room. That's good....more of your wonderful family can fit in the room.:thumbsup2

Umm...let's not talk about the fact that you don't have presents wrapped and under your tree. I don't have any wrapped either. I'll get around to it sometime or the other.

My Christmas tree was in that exact location last year! In the corner right next to the sofa and the fireplace!

I love your skinny tree. That's the kind of tree that I need. And the ornaments are just precious!

I don't even have any paper. I used to buy a lot at a time and Sheri and I would share. This year her tree is red and gold. Her tree is flocked and mine is this copper/brown thing. I really must purchase something. The spare bedroom is full of presents and even some in my closet. Sheri tends to wonder thru the house like she owns it! You and I better get busy. Just barely a week left.
