Rain, Surprise Birthdays, Rain, First Visits -(Ginny is deceased-Prayers for her.)

It is so wonderful to read and share with families that have the wonderful bond that ya'll have! :grouphug: I know Don said no more vacay's but you know you and your group will plan something if it is something small and inexpensive --you know like a beach long weekend!

We are enjoying the sun and music!!:sunny:

If I have a say so you know that would happen in a minute. I've convinced him to take a week in the summer and that leaves him 3 days to mess with. He can then have the Wed. before Thanksgiving off, the month of December and the first 6 weeks of 2011. He will start his pension Dec 1, 2010 and SS Jan 1, 2011. He will make almost $1000 more a month than he does now. But he wants to use that to get all of our bills paid so when I retire Dec 2011 we will only have a house payment and the regular stuff. I'm all for it. I don't want a bunch of stuff hanging over our head. But the beach is not terribly expensive. My car gets 31 miles to the gallon and it would just be the two of us. He and I can rough it in something small. We want to be able to spend a month at the beach each winter and a month in AZ (his idea not mine) each winter. I will work on him for sure.

:grouphug: to you. You make our group what it is.

Ginny

Well, I said 70's today, but it is now after one o'clock and we're still in the low 60's. Still better than freezing your buns off! :goodvibes

Oh, and I just got news that I may have to go to court today and testify. Fun! NOT.

Apparently, I have notarized a document years ago for someone who has since commited a crime. And the document that I notarized has something to do with the crime he commited, so now I have to go to court in front of a jury trial, possibly. Keep your fingers crossed that I don't have to go!

Me no want to. :sad2:

Yuck! I wonder what he did?

I have received two summons for jury duty but always get out of them once they realized who I am. Well, not for who I am but because I have so much contact with everybody at the courthouse.

eeewwww! Mel!!! that sounds like a lot of fun and excitement!! NOT!
it shouldn't be bad ...depends on what he did I guess...how would that reflect on you (can it in any way)! :confused3

crossing my fingers and toes for you on this one!!

He killed his wife.

The document I notarized needs to be submitted into evidence, so they have to ask the person who notarized it if they looked at his ID to confirm that it indeed was the person on trial. But, since I did it in the capacity of our office, it looks like one of the supervisers here is going to have to testify instead. And they will only call me if anything she said is called into question. So I think I'm safe.

I notorize stuff all the time. I have kind of limited myself to work and friends now which help. But that is always a fear.

I had to go to court one time when one of omy docs had a malpractice suit. I hated it but I knew the guy was lying and we document, document, document. He had stated how no one contacted him after his surgery and he would call and we did not return his calls. I pulled out the phone bill and marked every call we made to him and documented whether it was a message and what was left of what was spoken.

The doc was proven not guilty and I was happy. He should have paid me big bucks for that. I saved his rearend.

I don't ever want to do it again. I've done several jury duties and don't mind but since being in this small office I can't so I always get out of it.

I am required to be a notary b/c we provide this service in our office. So, if you have an I.D. and I watch you sign a document, I have to notarize you, free of charge. I hate it.

Wow! Talk about saving the doctor's rear. You should have gotten a steep raise for being so organized and efficient. :thumbsup2

Oh, and I had Grand Jury in May. No getting out of that one!

I don't know your notary laws but in MO you just have to state in your journal if you know the person or confirmed ID. You can't be in charge of what they do with the document. I hate the journaling That is why I have cut back to people I know. We can charge $2.00 for affidavits.

We are not required to do that, but in all honesty, its a VERY good idea! We should do it, whether it is law or not.

Hi everyone; sorry I've not been around to chit chat today. I had to redline 18 documents and then had a staff meeting and then had to get the time sheets in for my two lawyers. Busy day (I have a really bad headache from the day) and then went and got my hair cut and color. Hope you all had a great day.

You had a very busy day for sure. I like busy day sometimes cause they go by fast but some days I would just like time to take a deep breath. I got caught up on filing today. Here are some pics I took of the Princess tonite when I got home. She is not a good poser. She sits well but when you tell her to look up she moves. She is an 8 year old dog that knows no tricks but sit, stay, go get your baby, bone or cat. She does choose the one you tell her.

Ginny- Princess is SO cute! I just want to give her a big hug.
