Rain, Surprise Birthdays, Rain, First Visits -(Ginny is deceased-Prayers for her.)

I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the thrill rides. TOT is my favorite. It sounds like you all had a good day at DHS until dinner time. That long wait would have really bothered me. And, the rude people, why do some people act like that? Too bad you had to endure them at dinner and Fantasmic. I really liked Fantasmic, but I don't think I would wait 2 hours to see it. We did wait about an hour, but that is as long as I am willing to wait. I feel like I am missing too much.

I know what you mean about the wait. We did really want to see it and I'm glad we waited. Of course since there were 9 of us the wait really flew by. We had a lot of talking to do since we weren't together 24/7. :rotfl2:

We always can find ways to fill our time. I know we didn't get to do all we wanted. Me and Sheri MK, Me and Don Epcot, Me AK and if I had had another day I would have done all the rides as many times as I could. I loved them all. I was so out of my box. It did make a lot of excitement. My grandsons loved to watch me do all of those rides cause they knew I would never have even thought to do them before. Getting older has it's advantages.

Ginny

Wow, Ginny, I forget every so often that you're in the middle of a TR here. :rotfl:

It must be getting ready to rain here too. I just heard thunder and I'm getting a headache. If I remember right we had Isolated/Scattered showers listed every day for the next 10 days.

We're FINALLY going to the Braves game on Saturday (with Will's whole All-Star team and families, it's going to be fun), it had better not rain! It's the first time we've made it all year.

Glad you guys are getting some work done. Connie, good luck with 3. That's all I have to say. Good luck.

Good Morning! Dear Ginny!
Ashton sends you your morning kiss.
Hope your day is a great one and a productive one. We are learning about rules over here. Chloe has decided she can go anywhere and do anything and take anything she wants today! Each time I tell her not to do something and tell her she knows Mrs. connie's rules she tells me to follow the rules and leave her alone (gotta love three yr olds) at her rate she will be in "time out" most of the day...she is sooooo Sassy!!! And Ashton is all boy, wants to play rough (she doesn't--who can blame heron that one), and play with his dinosaurs and she had better not touch--so we are learning about sharing (as we do everyday), also.

Have a great day!!!

:rotfl2: She is a sassy little thing, isn't she???

Connie I have found the only thing worse than terrible two's is the tantrum three's. Especially little girls. Boys are so resiliant and girls carry a grudge. I bet your Gwendolyn didn't do that because she was alone at that age. It was great with two of them together. Sandi was my argumentative, always be right one and dear Sheri never argued, crossed my path. I guess she learned from Sandi all you do is get in trouble so don't do it. Didn't mean she didn't try things but she was at least quiet about it. None of that I'll do it my way or else threats. :rotfl:

You might as well save your effort with time out for Chloe and just put yourself in time out and let them have at it. :rotfl2: Who knows what you would face. Could be fun. Or NOT. Have a great day. At least it is not raining here yet. We broke a rain record yesterday. Over 3 inches we got. I think I took it to Disney and brought it home with me. We have not had a dry spell all summer.

Have a great day. I'm really going to work hard today and clean my desk. :scared1:

Very good advice, Ginny! :thumbsup2 You are right on the money! :lmao:

Hey, send us a picture of your desk after you've got it cleaned!

Hope you're having a great day. I missed you guys this morning!

Awww, fun! A Braves game. I wanted to take Mitchell to the Barrons game, but we haven't quite made it there yet. I'm full of ideas, not big on following through, heh heh! :)

I hope you have a wonderful time! The boys will surely love it. :woohoo:

Heather, how fun to go to a Braves game. I grew up in Northern MO and went to St. Louis Cardinal games all the time. They have now gotten so expensive with the new stadium we can't go. When Sheri was small her favorite player was Jody Davis catcher for the Cubs. We went to the last home game every year cause they would play the Cubs. Such fun. I know the boys will have a blast. And you will have an empty pocketbook.

Sorry your were too busy to Dis this morning Mel. I hate that work does get in our way sometimes.

No more rain the rest of the week for us. It is to be in the mid 80's the rest of the week tho. Sure beats last week and high 90's.

Having girls at 3 and grandsons at 3. I take boys. Boys at 13,14 aren't fun tho. They get just as mouthy as girls. You will see.

Heather, that does sound like a lot of fun!!

We are going to global wildlife (it is a wildlife park about 15 mi from our house--with giraffes, zebras, buffalos, camels, llamas, and such) this Saturday they are having a membership special "Back to school party", we invited a guy Danny works with and his family along (they have a little boy who I thought was 4, but Danny said last night that Payton is 5:eek: ) I hope him and Ashton get along and it is not another day like when my friend and her little boy went to animal Kingdom. we are also going on the wagon tour/I hope the giraffes are out Ashton loves it! Hope it doesn't rain there...we get heat related popcorn storms right now it may rain in the front of my property but not in the back--go figure!!

Mitchell's gettin' kind of mouth, now. We were in Big Lots on Sunday and I said something to him and he said, "Well, Duh, Momma!". Um, yeah, we won't be saying that one again. He is still learning the difference between what is respect and what is concidered "okay" humor, so I wasn't too hard on him.

He's still learning the difference between what is acceptable words and what is not, so a lot of times he'll say something and ask me "Was that a good word or a bad word?" :rotfl:

This sounds awesome, Connie!

Mel, I hope work catches up soon...you have more important things to do:rotfl:

we have a heat index of 105 that is why I still have not made it outside:rotfl2: they're waiting on me....my little bosses are calling:laughing:

Gwendolyn I did not have problems with until about 10 (she would scratch everyone, rarely Sassy) but never really any problems to speak of she was and is a really good kid:hug: SUPER LUCKY FOR THAT!!
Dayne has always been sweet--but the last two years have been hard...he never really needed rules, So, now he thinks he can do ANYTHING he wants to do...or I usually hear when I talk to him "it's all good" and nothing is ever resolved:scared1:
the bad thing is I tell Danny he needs to deal with him and when he gets tired he tells me to deal with him:rotfl2: and Dayne manages to get his way...thank goodness his way is not bad; things would be different than...

can't wait to see how Ashton fares...

That sounds like a lot of fun. Yes a 5 yo might think a 3 yo is too baby for him. I hope it works out for Ashton. I drive home at night down the main road to our house in the pouring rain. I turn right into our subdivision and No rain. Go figure. It is weird.

Alex used to say "what the" and he got in trouble several times. He doesn't do that anymore. Not that he doesn't know all the words. He will be in 5th grade but has learned what is acceptable and what isn't. Sheri has decided that since her boys are older they can figure out what is acceptable or not. They do really well cause they know just cause they hear it among their friends doesn't make it right. It's good Mitchell is asking. He'll figure it out. They want to grow up at that age and still want to be babied somewhat.

105 degrees! EEK! My Weatherbug on my computer says it's 81 degrees here. What's up with that? It's August for Heaven's sake in the south! We've had a really strange year for weather. Really strange. :sad2:

I can't wait to see how Mitchell ends up being, either. Sounds like you've got some pretty great kids, though, Connie! The Good One Above has smiled down on you!

Our temp right now is 79. I will go to the grocery store and get lunch. As soon as I get off the phone with AT&T. It has been 37 min now. Permanant hold you know. Connie you know Dad's don't lilke to be the bad guys. He wants to be his friend. That is the Mom's job. Connie does have some wonderfull children Mel. As do you. I think that is why we get along so well. We know our priorities and what the children mean to us.

Mitchell used to say "What The", too. I told him to stop, and he's pretty good about remembering not to say the things I tell him not to. He's a really good boy! I love him so.

He did say the "D" word one night and he got in pretty bad trouble for that. He had to go straight to bed. We've heard him say that one before, though. Where did he get it from, you might ask? DAYCARE. There's a potty mouthed little boy who goes there teaching the kids bad manners and bad words. He's the child Mitchell mimicked while in Disney and got in so much trouble for it.

He also taught Mitchell the "S" word, unbeknownst to me. We were watching a movie one day and before we knew it, someone said the "S" word. I was content to ignore it and hope Mitchell didn't notice b/c I knew he didn't know what that word meant. WRONG! First word out of Mitchell's mouth was "Bad-word!"

I looked at DH like how did he know that was a bad word? Mitchell told me the little boy at daycare says it all the time and gets put in time out for it. Grrr. Thank goodness that child is going to school this year. :yay:

It is that thing parents learn. You can teach them right from wrong. They just have to learn it. It is so hard to protect your children (and you want to) but once they are in the public eye they completely relearn everything they knew.

That's why I dread school next year! It's going to be like climbing a mountain of silk with no shoes on. There'll be plenty of back sliding, I know it!

You will and we will all be here for you. We may have to find a new avenue to talk tho. The Dis may get suspicious after another year on the same TR :rotfl2:

Hi girls! Sorry I haven't been on in a few days. Been kinda crazy! Went to the Beach on Saturday. :beach: It was way too hot! I didn't last long on the beach! LOL! I just can't stand the heat these days! DH's uncle lives right outside of the town we were in so we went to visit. Went back up to the boardwalk later that night for dinner & walking around! Had a good day! Sunday was spent resting! Yesterday & today has been scorching hot here. 97degrees with a heat index of 104!!! :sunny: So I have been trying to keep cool! I have also developed some type of rash. My mom thinks it's a heat rash. It itches really bad! If it doesn't go away in a couple days I'm putting a call in to the Dr. Hope it's nothing though. Well, that's been my crazy last few days! Hope all is well with everyone else!!! Wish I was in WDW with Lisa!! Hope she's having fun! Can't wait to hear all about it when she returns!

I have unlimited texting and internet on my phone also. We will find a way. Gee, we sound like long lost love. tee hee

When I was pregnant with DS, we went to the beach. I came home with a rash, too. It was itchy and resembled a heat rash. I believe I got it b/c my hormones and the sun did not mix well. Especially the beach sun b/c there is so much of it. I did that while on birth control, also. Now that I'm off BC and I'm not pregnant, the sun does not affect me at all. Well, I still burn, but that's another story!

Glad you had a good weekend! The beach sounds lovely.

Oh, and it went from 81 degrees, to 87 degrees in just an hour. Wierd.
