Rain, Surprise Birthdays, Rain, First Visits -(Ginny is deceased-Prayers for her.)

Hi, Ginny! I have been lurking for a while- just haven't gotten time to post much because of work. I just wanted to drop in & say hi & that I hope it stops raining for you!

Thanks for stopping by April. I have not posted anything as good as a TR but we have been chatty. I hate it when work gets in our way of fun. It has been happening way too much for me lately. Altho I did get paychecks written yesterday. That is always a good thing. Now I'll go pay the rest of the bills. I love spending his money. Don and I could do quite well if I had that each month.

I took a picture of the sun yesterday. I'm glad I have it. I have to look at it once in a while to remember. They say we'll have sun on Sunday. Hope they are right.

Have a good day and thanks for that hug. It was needed today.

Good morning Mel. I'm with you. How can one have so much drama in their life? I go for peace and tranquility.

I bet that big orange glowy thing is pretty to see. Make sure you have those colored glasses when you go outside.

Tonite is the big District football game. Who ever wins plays next week. Aust and a few others are wanting a loss but the team they are playing has won 4 but they do not play the hard teams like we do. They have an awesome running back that is first in the state for yardage. He is a junior and has colleges looking at him already. But is he that good when paired with a good team. They have lost every game that was a better team and even by more points than us. Time will tell. It is to be stormy, lots of rain and 45 by game time. They had to move it to a field that has turf as all our grass fields are soaked.

Andrew won his final game last nite. 2-1. Yay Andrew.
YAY ANDREW! :cheer2: Go go Austin! :cheer2:

Okay, this telephone literally rings every two seconds today and every person on the other end is asking dumb questions.

Give me Friday afternoon!

Tonight I am supposed to take Mitchell to a Halloween carnival being hosted by one of the local churches. It should be cool - they have a dunking booth and everything! DH doesn't know if he can get off early to go with us and I'm not so sure I want to go w/out him. It's more fun as a group, but I may end up doing that b/c I made the mistake of telling Mitchell we were going and he hasn't forgotten. I can't disappoint my little boy!

No you cannot disappoint Mitchell. Nothing makes me angrier than a parent telling a child they will do something then don't. I know sometimes you have to cancel but on the whole, it's better to say nothing. When the girls were young Don would say oh, we are going to go do this and then not do it. I can't stand the looks on their faces. I finally told him to shut up. He did finally learn to not do it anymore. He said he would say it cause it sounded like fun to do not realizing the let down when you don't.

It's all for the children as we know.

My children just never grew up much.

Ginny

No, I would never disappoint Mitchell on purpose. I'll just have to go on without DH if he doesn't get home in time. Mitchell is so excited to put on his costume! He's a motorcycle racer this year. Vroom! Vroom!

I know for a fact you never would on purpose. You are a good momma and have his best interest at heart. You must take a pic of my motorcycle man.

Sorry! I was MIA on you ladies today!!
:yay: Andrew--great job team!!!
Hope Austin has a great game tonight!
Mel, that sounds like fun the local church here does something for Halloween on Halloween every year...Dayne use to love them when I let him go. Hope ya'll have a great time tonight!!
we ended up with a beautiful day (it did not appear until about 10:30)!!! so, we tried to spend some time outside today!!!

Morning Ginny!

Are you guys okay? I know that Arkansas was getting hit pretty bad with the weather last night. Didn't know if it made it all the way up to you or not.

Good morning Ginny!!!

We are having a very dreary day  the weather was suppose to be bad (that stuff Lisa was talking about) but it looks like just rain until tomorrow morning!! But, than we are suppose to be clear all the way into next week!! Hope ya'll have the same pattern coming your way :sunny:

Ashton started with a stuffy/runny nose last night, did not want to eat and was very cranky...so I'm thinking sore throat and headache...woke up several times in the night and when Danny left for work but seems to be in a better mood! So, at this rate Halloween is out for him...

Mom & Dad are boiling crabs this afternoon...yummo!!

Have a great day! today and weekend!!

Good morning Lisa. I must say I have never sat at a football game and got so wet. It poured buckets. Our salvation was the temp was 68. The winds were up to 50 mph. At half they had to squeegee the turf, it had water under neath. We lost 31-7. We did score first and if we hadn't had 6 fumbles with turnovers and 3 interceptions we would have won. The opposing team's powerhouse is super fast but he does nothing else on the field. No blocking or anything. I didn't think high school could afford to have a one-faceted player.

We are glad it is over. I had pictures of the low spot two weeks ago and I was going to take one of it dried out yesterday morning and was running late so I thought I would do it this morning. Well, going home last night it is now higher than it was 2 weeks ago. We had lots of flooded streets. But no storm damage like Arkansas got. Have a really good weekend.

I'm sorry my little man is stuffy. Me too after that rain fest last night. I know you are glad he is young still and doesn't realize just what the whole trick or treating thing is yet. And he did get to do the Disney store and Boo at the Zoo. So he did get to dress up and have some fun. Be sure to give him extra kisses and hugs from me today.

I'm coming to your parents for crabs. Absolutely yummo. Ok, I'll sit here and eat my soup and banana. Have a super weekend.

Hey! Ginny
Crabs were good; Ashton was soooo excited to see his Nana...but he could not wake up he slept for the first hour we were there...poor littile guy has very bad head cold!!

We were invited to someone's house (that I do not know--Danny's friend) for tomorrow night; they have a little boy Ashton's age. He and Danny have been trying to get together with the kids for awhile now...so, now we just see how he will be feeling tomorrow but from the looks of it I don't think we will be making it...He wanted to stay by my parents but I did not think he needed to sleep with my dad and sick (dad is halfway through his radiation).

Well have a great weekend!! and lots of trick or treating fun!!

I ended up with an Earl Campbell hot link for dinner. Don had a frozen pizza. I am chef of the world for sure. Crabs sounded way better.

I'm with you if Ashton is not feeling well you don't want him around another child and take any risks. I'm sure your parents would have loved to have had him stay too. But your are right, your Dad doesn't need anything extra either. I'm sure he is not feeling top notch either.

No plans for me tomorrow except shopping with Sheri. The sorority she is in is having a fashion show next Saturday and she gets to model the clothes from Chicos. Fun for her. Then she leaves Sunday morning early for Minnesota for the week. Brrrr.

Hey, Ginny! Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to you Mel. Have a fun evening. Sheri and family are coming for dinner. I bought 10 big bags of candy yesterday so I'm ready. We live in a private neighborhood. One street in and one street out. 102 houses so we get lots of people come over here and drop kids off while they run the streets. You just know you will have lots of kids. Wish you and Mitchell would come too.

We left the Magic Kingdom after a full day of fun and rain. We sure did not let it stop us for long. We had parks to see. It is now Memorial day and we decided to go have lunch before heading to AK. We went to Bahama Breeze and it was delish. We don't have one in our area and it was a treat for us. I could go for a crab cake right now for sure.

When we arrived we saw this right off. Alex and Papa got a picture with the blue bottom boy as he has always called him.

It was super hot that day and we pretty much meandered around to see what we wanted to do first. So first ride stop was one of my favorites.

disney1003.jpg

Don does not do roller coasters. After he had done BTMR the day before he knew he was done. So he was the package/purse/backpack holder (ok, he was our pack mule). Alex wanted to ride Primevil Whirl but never did get too. It was down everytime we walked by it all day.

We then decided to go to EE to see about a ride and IMHO the best parade in Disney was just starting. So we found a nice shady spot and watched. I love this parade.

After it was over Alex decided to see how well he could take a picture. I think he did pretty well.

We head on over to EE and the line was 145 minutes so we decided to go see ITTBAB.

Love the cue line.

When we got done with that show, which we all enjoyed. We go back towards EE and it begins to rain. It wasn't sprinkles. It was pour down, open the skies and let it fall. Then the lightening and thunder roared. We go back to Dinosaur for another tour while trying to wait out the rain. By now it is almost 5 pm and it had been so hot we are seriously thinking of going to the resort. Well, everyone else was thinking of going back. Sheri, Sandi and I knew we were going to stay till we could ride EE. We shopped and wondered about and finally headed back to EE. It was getting ready to reopen and no line at all. YAY. We get to see the Yeti.

I loved that ride. For one being so afraid of heights and never having been on a roller coaster before I was hooked. When we got to the top and the strange man sitting next to me says "I can see my resort from here" and I look around and said something not quite like that but it started with OH s---!
Everyone laughed and I was having so much fun I couldn't eve put my head down in shame. I just prayed that these poor people on this ride wouldl never have to see me again. When we got off I wanted to go again but by then the line was back up over 60 minutes.

We did manage to catch the photopass person and got some good pictures.

So we decide we are done at AK and head to the resort for dinner and swimming.

We ate at Pepper Market and everyone had something different. My food was good. Even tho I can't tell you what I ate. Then the boys went to the Dig Site and we all went and sat with them. Such a pleasant way to spend an evening.

We did not stay up so late as we knew we had ressies at Ohana the next morning for the Birthday breakfast.

Time is going too fast.

Nice update Ginny!

We didn't get a chance to do EE when we went :(, nor Dinosaur, nor ITTBAB, nor anything really ><. I don't think we even went to the tree. Looks like I have my hands full for Feb!

Andrew did do a great job at the picture taking for sure!

Hope everything is well.

great update Ginny! I really love ITTBAB and especially EE! I am glad that you waited out the rain--it sure is worth it! I am glad that your familyy had a great time!

:thumbsup2 on the update. Congrats to Andrew on the win. It is funny reading about the drama stuff. I have the same family :lmao:. Me, I like it when I can sit on my couch, watch a little TV, play on the computer and plan my Disney trips. That is about all the drama I can stand.
