I have been trying to plan a quick weekend trip for 2 months every weekend its raining. With a short 2 days I was trying to get a nice weekend. I'm thinking about forgetting that idea and just planning 5 days the end of May beginning of June. We have never been this time of year is it going to rain alot then to?

Thanks

There is a chance of rain on most days of the year in Florida. If trying to plan last minute, the best you can do is avoid days where its forecasted to be a wash-out (i.e. it's supposed to rain all day.) As for the end of May, you never know how it's going to be. I will say though that it does get rainier in May and then the rainiest in June, July, August.

Thanks, thats what I figured, I guess I was hoping May wasn't quiet in the rainy season yet.

Speaking of rain, does anyone know where to get some cheapy compact ponchos?

Wal-Mart and Target have the disposable ponchos for under $1 and the Dollar Tree type stores often have them 2 for $1.

My advice is to take historical weather patterns into consideration, but don't let them alter your plans too much. Averages are just that , there are still extremes on both ends. I remember I was at WDW the week between Christmas and NY in the early 90's and it was HOT everyday. Even the locals were saying that the heatwave was very unusual. I was there more recently for 2 weeks in May 2000 and then another 2 weeks in September 2001. Out of those 4 weeks, we had exactly 3 hours of rain TOTAL! Obviously, we were lucky, but my point is you never know.
This year we are going for 2 weeks in August and family members are concerned about the heat. Well last year we went to the White Mountains in August to escape the heat and we hit 100 degrees on 2 days - the rest were well into the 90's. I read posts on this board that people went in August last year and stated that it was hotter back home in the Northeast than it was in Florida when they were there. You never know!
My advice - you can plan around the crowds but there is little that you can do about the weather. Just go, have fun, and deal with whatever Mother Nature throws at you.

It seems like it rains at least one day on every trip to WDW. We just take ponchos (not yellow ones) and enjoy! Last trip we went to Epcot on our rainy day. It worked out really well since there is a lot of inside stuff to do. The kids (9 and 5) could have stayed in Innoventions all day!

WE went last year and it didn't really rain much, maybe twice. A couple of lighting storms but that's all. But when we usally go it has a b ig down pour and then all the sudden it will stop maybelike 5-10 minutes! So i say just go!
