Hello! Does anyone have any advice or suggestions for the best type of rain gear to take May 27th-June 4th?

Disposable ponchos VS real ones?? I have a cute little poncho for my 5 year old and several of the cheap disposable ones. I am wondering if I should just get real ones for all of us. Will they be more comfortable or will they simply be in the way?

The disposable ones are usually .50 cents each and the other ones are 3.00 or 4.00 each. It is not about money it is about comfort and flexability. The disposable ones are very small and the others are are about the size of a folded shirt.

Say it rains in the morning and we have the disposable ones, will we be able to use the same ones again or will we have to start over if it rains that night? :confused3

I will have a stroller with me everyday to carry stuff.

This is my last real decision to make before our trip in 6 weeks!!!

Any suggestions??

Thanks!!!!!

I would use multiple disposable ones. You can always use them the next time it rains but you could always throw them away once they have been used. One less thing to carry home. We bring a few for each of us so we have a stash and no worries.

Ha ve a great trip!

We bought the ones at Disney and hung them up in the closet and they look brand new. They kept us dry and weren't too uncomfortable. They have some at Target by the camping stuff and at Walmart too that are similar to the ones at disney.

We always bring "real" raincoats for when we "know" it is going to rain. We bring disposables with us for when it isn't supposed to rain. :wizard:

We used the disposable ones last trip and they were an absolute nightmare! They are SO big! They were big for the adults and HUGE for the kids! We were tripping on them, having to tie knots in them and just an absolute disaster!

I bought the raincoats @ disneyshopping.com and we LOVE them! They are so well made, they have adjustments everywhere so you can adjust them individually, and the best part...they fold into an attached pocket. They are yellow, have Mickey on them and are made extremely well.

I used one of the promotions and the free shipping and paid less than $8 for the kids' and about $10.00 for the adult ones. I highly recommend these. We will be there late May into June also, trust me, you will need rain gear :teeth:

Our big name dollar store sells a 2 pack of disposable rain ponchos for, well, you guessed it, $1.00! :lmao: For 50 cents a pop, you can't beat it. While the Disney ones are cute, I found them to be quite bulky and they don't fold up very compact and one poncho took up almost my entire day bag.

We loved the cheap ones for Kali River Rapids. You can either chuck them or give them to someone else.

Thanks for the replies. I believe I will at least get the real kid ponchos for my 2 little ones because the disposable ones don't fit them. Thanks for sending me to the camping section. I had never looked there!!!

six weeks today!!!!!

by the way, has anyone notice new font in their microsoft word document?? All of a sudden we have new Disney font-really cool! Not sure how we got it-automatic update or something my DD did but it is neato!

The childrens raincoats that fold into thier own pockets are marked down from 19.99 to 12.99 at disneyshopping.go........ :thumbsup2
