Quick Question.... Should I pack and bring DS's raincoat to WDW or buy one if the need arises? Thanks!

I bought a rain poncho for 50 cents each at the dollar store. My DD uses the poncho and we leave her raincoat at home. It's cheaper if you purchase one before hand unless you want to buy one at the parks with Mickey on it.

I bought my kids the ones at The Childrens Place that are nice, not plastic but they wrap up real small into the pocket. They are cute cami colors. But both of my kids needed new rain jackets for school anyway.

Another vote for the ones at Children's Place -- JaxCon are you talking about the windbreaker style? I already picked some up for Feb.

What's nice is it's the only jacket they will need since it will do for wet weather or dry, but cool.

How much do the raincoats cost at the Children's Place? We get the cheap plastic ones because we can then throw them away when we're done. I tried once to refold a used wet coat, got frustrated and threw it out.

My DS (5 at the time) had one like the style from Children's Place, except it came from the Gap. The rest in our group had ponchos. He was the only one who had to deal with soaking wet pants, so I would not recommend these jackets. We were waiting in the rain at MGM for Fantasmic and the rest of us could sit on our ponchos, but he could not in his jacket. We now all use ponchos.
