We are so thrilled to be heading out tomorrow to finally see our BLT in person - yeah! :woohoo: I am actually in training Monday and Tuesday at the Contemporary, so we decided to make a long weekend of it. It looks like rain is in the forecast the entire time that we are there. I know that there are typically relatively short-lived showers there this time of year, but I am concerned that it may turn into all day rainy weather. This is a totally non-park visit and our main plan for activities involves pool hopping. We have a few games in our OL and I know that we can check out videos, but I would appreciate any other suggestions that you might have for rainy day activities. We do not have any kiddoes, it is just DH and I.

We just returned from WDW yesterday and the weatherman said there will be a increase in rain and storms over the next several days. So pack your poncho's and ziplock bags for your wallet camera and any thing you don't want to get wet.
If it rains I would suggest going over to the AKL and view the animals from one of the many covered veiwing areas.
Go to the Wildreness lodge and walk around. Ask at the front desk for an informal guide. They gave us one that had all sorts of neat facts about the lodge and it was free along with the hidden Mickey sheet.

Resort hop! It's a great way to spend a rainy day. Pick one or two resorts you've never seen or haven't seen in a long while. Check out what that resort offers, lounges, dining, shops, etc. and make lunch or dinner reservations. Get there early (for dinner) or stay later (after lunch) and explore that resort. It's fun and opens up a new way to enjoy WDW!

Have fun!

These are great suggestions! I would really enjoy exploring the other resorts and I always think it if fun to look for Hidden Mickeys. Thanks for your replies!

Then you should definitely head to the Wilderness Lodge or Animal Kingdom Lodge. Both have Hidden Mickey Hunts. Just ask for a guide at the Front Desk.

HI! Me again. I just had another thought. Grand Floridian offers and afternoon sit down tea. I've never done it, (not much of tea drinker), but think it's worth a mention, for those who are.

Have a GREAT time!

My rainy day plan, since I'll be there this week-end, is movies at the Downtown Disney AMC theatre.
