Just wondering about June weather. A short daily rain shower doesn't bother me but rain that can ruin vacation does. What's the weather usually like. Is it also VERY hot in june? I realize it is Florida and the beginning of summer but Im from jersey. Heck, it could snow here on the 4th of july. lol

You can count on heat AND rain in June. June 2002 was a mess! We went down the first week the Royal Pacific opened and it rained, and I mean RAINED everyday! We left a day early because of it, too!

yep. During the Summer Florida gets the nickname "Liquid Sunshine State" because of the daily pop-ups thunderstorms. June is one of the hottest times in Florida, so count on that. Not that I haven't had good experiences in June...but going anytime during the summer is risking heat and rain. :(

Although...the pop-up thunderstorms usually occur in the late afternoon around 2 or 3PM or so...and don't last too long. Rain and storms during the Winter are fewer, but last longer.

HTH!!!

Thanks guys.

Oh sigh.........well a (possibly) soggy vacation is better than no vacation, right?

I'll be packin those ponchos just in case.

hopefully if it does rain, it won't be until later! just plan to do your outdoor activities (ie - rollercoasters or....Ghostbusters Show! ;)) earlier in the day and save indoor rides and shows for the afternoon.

Ah yes, the Ghostbusters...........mmmmmmmmmmm:tongue:

:teeth: Yep...must go to very first show so you don't miss out!!!! I found out the hard way...back when I didn't go to every show...lol

The showers come in the afternoon. The sun heats up the earth, draws moisture up into the air, and then it drops around 4pm.

If you go early at 8am, you'll get on all the rides as walkons, go back to your hotel when the rain hits, take a nap, then go back at night when the showers have passed.

The showers usually happen from 4pm to 8pm, unless there is a tropical wave. Records and averages are here.

We must have been there the same time Robinrs was.........our family vacation photo is all 9 of us in ponchos at IOA. We ended up throwing those away at the end of the trip........we never wanted to see them again. Nevertheless, we had a great time anyway!:sunny:
