We leave tomorrow morning and it looks like rain both on Wed and Thurs. Should we still go to the Parks?? Which park is the most 'weather' friendly'-more rides/attractions indoors? What other activities could we do? Just when you think you have it all planned out, the weather throws you a curve! We have tickets for 6 days-4 days at Disney and 2 at US/IOA. Help!

Well U/S has tons of inside rides. In fact I think they are all inside rides- so that is a good one in the rain. IOA not so good- with one of the best being the HULK, it is closed in rain. And they have other Roller coasters not to be missed. So skip that one. MGM has many inside rides as well- RNR, TOT, who wants to be a Millionare, Little mermaid, star tours, muppet 3d great movie ride....ect ect..That would be my first wet day pick.
In Epcot the problem you have is Future World in the rain and Test Track closes in rain as well. My kids would not want to miss that one so we would skip it on rain days.
Good luck and remember in FL rain sometimes means just a 30 minute shower. I'll hope for sunshine for you and have a great time.

Thanks, Java! Here's keeping my fingers crossed for no/or little rain! I think we'll hit US on one of the rainy days-we don't do roller coasters anyway, so it should be ok.

I have to disagree that "Florida rain means a 30 minute shower". The rain this week is being caused by a cold front coming in. These showers can be an all day affair. See a couple weekends ago.

According to WFTV, there is a "chance of showers" tonight through Thursday night. I would not think it will be the kind of rain you see in summer where you can't see a few feet in front of you. But I would expect a gray day with mist/rain on and off.

I have been in MK in a summer downpour as well as the gray day situation. I don't know of an attraction that closed.

I agree about this weeks rain. We need the rain so I hope it does happen. Be prepared for it and it won't be bad at all in the parks.

When we were there in Oct, it rained on our first full day, which we had planned for Animal Kingdom (had a PS). So my advice would be to NOT go to AK in the rain, if you can avoid it. It seemed like everything we needed/wanted to go to was so far to go. Don't get me wrong, if it was a misty/slightly raining day - maybe it wouldn't be so bad....but we were caught in horrible downpours....not a dry spot on us!

Don't let the forecast get you down....it's WDW afterall...it'll be great no matter what!

When we were there June 2003 it rained nearly every day. But we went on most things anyway and had a great time!

The worst rain day we happened to be a MK, but we did Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Small World, so many many things there that didn't matter about the rain. In fact, we were on the Jungle Cruise when a real downpour started. The CM's just added to the fun by making it part of the adventure, but I think they did close it down after we got off, as it was beginning to lightning and wind was high.

We go no matter what, because sometimes the crowds die down and it works to our advantage anyway!

Have a good trip. :sunny:

We had some rainy days a couple of weeks ago. It was great---people stay away when it rains. One day we were at Epcot...Innoventions was a wonderful "out of the rain" place, the kids loved it. Bring umbrellas and ponchos, you will still have a wonderful time.
