I’m taking our DGD in late August. I just ordered a City MinI GT2 and am thinking I‘lol want a rain cover in August. Any recommendation?

Thanks!

I feel like by the time I ever got those things unfurled the rain had stopped :rotfl2:

I've looked at rain covers but we have more than one stroller and I've never wanted to buy one to fit each (especially when I still had our double). I just use a shower curtain and large clips from Dollar Tree. May not look as nice, but works! Plus we can use the curtain if needed for something else, like sitting on it.

Thanks! I’m mainly thinking about something to cover it in the afternoon while we’re eating or waiting in a line, etc. I‘ve been the first week of September many times and the afternoons are prone to pop up showers. I necessarily don’t need anything that we could use with her in the stroller. That would be miserable in August.

I've had luck just using an extra poncho from Amazon to throw over our stroller if we were heading into a ride or meal and it looked like rain was coming. The nice thing about the poncho is that it's so cheap and compact to carry around! I'd roll it up and throw it in the stroller basket after using it and save it the rest of the day in case we needed it again, and then trashed it as we headed out if the park for the night.

I felt like our rain cover came in handy. We would put it on if it was threatening to rain then roll it up so it was quick to pull down.

I have used our rain cover on every trip at least once if not more. When it looks like a storm is brewing I toss it on before heading onto a ride or in a restaurant. I have a Britax but the rain cover fit on super easy and took seconds to pull out and put it on.

Same. The kids love being pushed around in their little rain safe space. We take one jogging stroller and rent a double and always use the rain covers for both.

Definitely get a rain cover. Whenever we go on any ride, show, or meal I cover it. Before doing this I've had extra clothes and the seats of the stroller get poured on and temporarily ruined. I don't have a specific recommendation (I can't remember which one we got), but I believe I got a "universal rain cover" and made sure the photos of it matched up with the stroller we have.

I got one like this. It worked perfectly and came with a case to fold it up. It’s so compact when folded. It has ties so it’ll stay in place if it’s windy and the front can be unzipped. We were able to leave it on the stroller if it looked like rain, but opened the front when it wasn’t raining.
