I have read all about what happens on rainy days at DLR, but haven't seen any info about how it affects Universal? Do they still do the studios tour etc?

Just thought if it's going to affect Universal much more than DLR we can work around that.

Just went a few days ago during the rain. Most of the attractions seemed to still be running. The only change I actually noticed was that the Animal Actors Show was moved into the Terminator 2:3D theater, and the Blues Brothers Review was moved into another indoor theater as well. The rain was on and off though, so other things may have been closed or moved (we made it on the tram tour during a dry time.

The extra bonus to the day, however, was that they hand out FREE Coffee and Hot Cocoa! That made it completely worth braving the weather. :)

When hubby and I went to Universal Studios last year (Feb 2010), it poured - and I mean POURED that day. The good part was it was relatively quiet - hardly any lines. Downside was some attractions were cancelled (Waterworld is the only one I can think of off the top of my head). We did do the studio tour, but I think that it occurred during a lull in the rain, but the rest of the day was spent running from attraction to attraction and shivering. We bought ponchos at the park and they were a lifesaver and relatively inexpensive (I think they were $4 each)

Universal Studios does issue "rain passes" which allow you to come back to the park for free on another day. We ended up not being able to use them, so I gave them to the concierge desk at my hotel near DL and told him to use them, or find someone who could use them. :)

Thanks for the tips :) Sounds a bit like DLR in the rain - just be prepared and it's not so bad lol!

We were there in Dec during that crazy rain and like a pp stated they moved animal actors and Blues Brothers into Terminator and we were able to just stay and watch all three shows without even having to exit but then it was a pretty slow day. The one ride that was def down was Jurrassic Park. I don't know if they cancel that every time due to rain but it was closed that day for sure. We WERE able to do the tour and it was raining pretty good when we went. All of the indoor stuff was still going, mummy, shrek, simpsons etc. We of course were there during the grinchmas and THAT got cancelled as well but other than that and Jurassic park most everything else I think was going. And we got the free coffee and such as well. They had characters in there and since we were there at xmas they had a christmas show.

We only go once every 5 years or so so it was worth it to us but I just wish since we DO only get to go every so often that it would have been nicer but I wouldn't worry about not being able to do anything and like someone said it will prob be walkins at least :)
