Railroad during parade taping

Does anyone know if the railroad is operating during the parade taping? Despite our best planning efforts, it appears that we will not be able to avoid the parade taping if we want to visit MK during our trip. The one time we were there during the taping, it was nearly impossible to get back to the resort at mid day. I was thinking that if the train was running, that would help us bypass the main street crowds.

It all depends on if and when they need to bring in parade vehicles/floats, etc.
through the Frontierland pathway.

If they need to do that, they must stop the trains until they clear the
RR track just outside the park. (See the red line on the image below.)
