My 11 y/o old dd and I have ADR's for Raglan Road in Sept.

What did you love/hate about it?

Well, if we hated anything about it, we wouldn't go there. When it's just the two of us, we love the fact that we can waltz in there pretty much any time and get a seat at the bar and have anything from a pub-grub snack to a full meal. There's a huge selection of draft and bottled beers from around the world, and if we manage to stay upright long enough, the entertainment is great. I don't know if any of this will appeal to an 11 year old, but that's our story and we're stickin' to it.

Thanks Bill!

Dd can't wait to see the step dancer (and mom can't wait to sample the beer :lmao: )

Try the Cider (you- not your 11 year old!) it's the best! Food is great, would def. go back there- Don't know if this (or any other place really) would impress 11 year old- they are kind of too old for character and too young for anything else, I think basically they want to eat at McD's, so I would suggest picking places you like! Would recommened Ragland Rd. highly.

The food/atmosphere were great. It was one of the best meals we had. The entertainment was really a lot of fun. The only downside was the bustrip and that taking away from time in the parks.

I guess I'm in the minority - it was the only truly bad meal we had during our October 2007 trip. Soggy, barely-lukewarm fish and chips - yuck. I was not impressed. (Plus, it was so loud, we could not hear each other talk, even when we shouted! They had a live band playing and the noise level was deafening. Not fun.)

Maybe I caught them on an "off" night -- other people just rave about this restaurant! I guess any restaurant can have a bad day.

Haven't found anything to hate in all the times we have been there.

Hubby and I have been alone, with the kids and grandkids, with friends, etc.
Everyone has always loved it!

I thought the food was excellent, although my DH and I do not drink, our daughters enjoyed sampling the beer. I have not seen the stepdancer, just love that, but we did hear an Irish singer the last time we were there. Food was good... service was good.

I haven't been to Raglan Road yet either but have a 7:45 reservation for late August with my sons, 10 & 12. I thought it would be a blast to have a meal here together & than spend some time listening to the band!! My kids love music (& they play keyboard & guitar themselves!) so I figured it would be some cheap entertainment for them (& mom too)!!

The food is really good!! I had the fish and chips which were really nice and thought they were better than the ones at the chippy i live next door to. My bf had the beef and guiness stew which was delicious, i loved it and i don't really like beef!
I think the entertainment starts at 9pm

Here is their website,

I think it says it on there somewhere.
