I'll be there too........
can't wait :Pinkbounc

Yes, I'd be happy to keep ya posted on what's going on there at RR...when I know more obviously.

Yes, there will be a menu.

No, admission will not be required to enter RR.

**I was out just last Saturday at EPCOT, MGM, and Magic Kingdom. The crowd was great, or lack thereof. We walked on almost every ride. It was great. The low season just began, and you can tell too.

My understanding is the Raglan Road will open at 3 pm. It will not require admission, as others have stated, and the entrance will be before you go over the yellow bridge onto the actual Island.

I know I can't wait for it to open! Still no word on whether it will be accepting Advanced Reservations, or only be a walk up type restaurant, like Capt Jacks. My hunge is that it will be the latter. From what I have heard, it will be divided into several different rooms, with a bar in each room. Sounds pretty awesome to me!

I have read that Raglan Road will be in the old Jazz Club space. Also, that there is a well known Irish Chef that will be working his magic on the food!
Yippee! :sunny: :shamrock: :drinking1

Don, my one burning question...are you going to serve Smithwicks???? I fell in love with this beer when I was over in Ireland.

Hoping someone will post once they know whether you can make ADRs for this restaurant. We'd really like to try it on our next trip!

Hey Miss Jasmine...good question indeed about Smithwicks. To be honest, I don't know right now exactly what the drafts, bottles, whisky, etc. line-ups will be, but I'll know very soon. I would certainly like to think that we'd have Smithwicks seeing as how it is a true Irish ale out of Kilkenny, but who knows? One thing I can guarantee, and this goes without saying, we will have either Guinness or Murphy's, or maybe even both. So, if you like stouts, then you'll have nothing to worry about there. I think it's safe to say that we'd have one or all of the following well known ales...Boddingtons, Newcastle, Smithwicks (even though the former two are naturally not Irish...but it doesn't matter, Bristish pubs have Irish beers, just like Irish pubs have British beers, just like American bars have both). If you like a good quality ale, then I'm sure you'll have nothing to worry about at Raglan Road Miss Jasmine. I'll let ya know though as soon as I do.

As far as making ADRs at RR, I don't know, but as soon as I do, I'll post it. I'll give the board more info as I get it.

Cheers! :wave2:

Don one more question--do you know the hours of operation? :earsboy:

Word on the street is that it will open at 3 pm and close with the clubs at PI.... however, they may stop serving meals at an earlier time.

I sent an email to Raglan Road yesterday to asked if they would be taking reservations for the opening on October 21. I also asked if reservations would be made through WDW DINE or directly through them.

I got a reply this morning and I'll post it the way I received it.

Hi Patty

Our grand opening is the 20th - not the 21st - so we would be happy
to have you dine with us on the 21st

WDW DINE will take reservations once we open!

Cheers

Raglan Road

I wonder if that means that WDW DINE will take reservations for those dates now, or will not start taking reservations until the opening date for the restaurant?

I have tried twice with WDW DINE to make ADR's and both times the CM's had to go looking for the information on Raglan Road. They hadn't heard of it yet. They found the info but they are not taking ADR's and were not sure whether they would be or if reservations would be made directly with the restaurant. That's when I sent an email to Raglan Road. From their reply, it sounds like no ADR's would be booked until they were open. I would still try as it gets closer. Who knows?

Am I missing something? I thought they were opening around 10/1? Now I'm bummed, I was really looking forward to trying that place when we arrive 10/5.

I'd like to know if their live entertainment is in the didning room area,,, OR in a seperate bar?!
& what days it would be,, or times, so I know when to make dinner reservations. this place is gonna be packed!

As promised, I'm posting more RR info here to some questions that I received. RR will be open 3pm until 2am, 7 days a week. Entertainment is 7 days a week. Typically, the bands that play will start off with low-key folksy Irish music and as the night progresses, it gets wilder and more rockin' in both attitude and music selection.

The name RR is named after a well-known Irish poem written by a well-known Irish poet Patrick Kavanagh in 1946. The title of the poem was "Dark Haired Miriam Ran Away." It has since been known as "Raglan Road" for short. The Irish folk band "The Dubliners" first recorded the poem/song. Then, Luke Kelly recorded it. It has also been covered by such bands as U2, Van Morrison, and Sinead O' Connor. It has become a seminal song for the Irish.

Miss Jasmine and Perdidobay have wondered what the beer line-up will be and if they have Smithwick's. Here's the draught line-up...........

Harp
Guinness
Murphy's Irish Red
Smithwicks
Bass Ale
Boddingtons Cream Ale
Stella Artois
Fosters
Heineken
Magners Irish Cider
Widmer Hefeweizen

Several more are offered by the bottle. Notice there are no American beers on draught (thank the Lord). A great selection of Irish whiskey and scotch will be available, as well as 4 full bars. There will be 6 speciality drinks. And the following are the varietal wines that RR will have: Merlot, Shiraz, Cab., Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Sav. Blanc (three reds and three whites).

Thanks for the details. Can you confirm the opening date and menu? :earsboy:
