Raglan Road music

Making my ADRs in 3 days. Thinking of Raglan Road for one night for our all-adult group. I understand there is entertainment, but is it constant? Can you actually have a conversation with your tablemates? Thanks!

I sat at a table that dancers actually danced on, and we had plenty of conversation! No worries!

I went several years ago, and found the music to be so loud we couldn't converse without shouting. It was frustrating! Maybe they've lowered the volume recently.

It can get pretty loud at times but it doesn't last very long.

I agree that it depends on where you are seated and how busy the restaurant is already. I've found that when the restaurant is pretty full and if you're seated close to the table, then it's hard to have a conversation while the band is playing. A lot is due to the proximity to the stage, but part is also due to the ambient noise level in the restaurant. However, if you're seated in the side room, it's quieter and easier to have a conversation. As others have said, the entertainment isn't continuous (the dancing happens on the hour and the band plays intermittently while the dancing is not happening).

We were seated near the door, and it was really easy to have a conversation. The booth was surrounded by a large wall-type enclosure, so it was very private. However, it was quite difficult to see the dancers because everyone was crowding around the stage (therefore we felt the need to do the same, just to be able to see).

We always ask for a side room as its much quieter. When its time for the dancers one or two will come into the side room to perform as well.
