This is for TigerKat! I actually typed out the entire review and somehow lost it before it could post. I was so mad! So...here I go again...

DTD was hopping for a Sunday night when we arrived for our 7 pm ADR. We were seated a few minutes after 7, in the round area banquette (half booth) section, very close to the stage. We sat for quite awhile before we were greeted, but that was the only glitch in the service. After about 10 minutes, we were greeted by our waiter, and everything went smoothly from then on, even though he was very busy.

I ordered a ketel one dirty martini. I asked for blue cheese stuffed olives but alas, they did not have them. Here is a thread I started about drink prices at WDW...

At $13.25 per martini, I think these are the priciest at WDW. And no blue cheese stuffed olives?:scared1: They were awfully yummy, though!

DH ordered a beer flight. At $8.50, we thought it was a deal. He had two! He had the flight that had guiness, murphy's, harp and one other.

We got the chicken liver pate to share. It was good, with a sweet chutney on top and a side of dried apricots, plus toast to spread it on. Dh was not too keen on it, just because he is not really a fan of liver, so he ordered the "Dalkey" sausage appetizer. Those were DELISH! We should have only ordered those, as there were PLENTY. The presentation was so cool...they are on forks that are placed in a specially made wooden platter with holes drilled in it, so the handles of the forks could stand in the holes. The sausages were not greasy at all, and the mustard sauce complemented them perfectly. I would definitely order these again.

Poor DD, she ordered the mac and cheese from the kid's menu, but hated it. You want to know why? Because it was REAL mac and cheese, made with GOOD cheese. She took one bite and could not bear to take another. I tasted it and loved it. The cheese they use is a little sharp. I asked the waiter if he could please put in an order for the chicken tenders. I was not expecting him to take the mac and cheese off the bill, I figured I could take it back to our studio at SSR and heat it up as a midnight snack later.:rolleyes1 He was kind enough, though, to take it off the table and also off the check. The chicken tenders were wonderful...DD loved them.

DH ordered the Paddy's Pork. It was stuffed with sausage and came with a side of mashed potatoes and braised cabbage. The pork was so tender. His dish was a bit cold, though. Not bad enough to send it back, but we figured our dishes might have sat in the window for awhile. I ordered the "Simple Smoked Salmon", an appetizer, which was just some thin slices of smoked salmon with capers, a tiny bit of creme fraiche and some toast. It was not as cool as it should have been, so that's why we figured our items were left sitting for a bit before they were served to us. Nothing to really complain about, but I know food temperature is very important to some people, so i thought I'd mention it.

i also had a side of braised cabbage, which was buttery and cooked perfectly...not too soft or mushy.

We shared a warm apple pie with ice cream for dessert. We paid and used our DDE card and the 18% gratuity was added on as we expected it to be.

The band was not supposed to start until 9, but they began playing at 8:30 and we loved them! They were so fun. DD was clapping along.

We look forward to going to RR again soon. I have heard some strong reviews on this board with some people loving RR, and others absolutely despising it! So I was a bit hesitant. I am glad we tried it.

Thanks for the review!

I'm a big fan of RR, so I'm glad to hear it's still going strong!:goodvibes

great reviews - we're big fans of chicken livers, they sounded good! - have seen photos of those sausages on forks - got to try them someday!

(deep fried with a dipping sauce - what's not to love?! )

Thanks for the review! I'll be sure to mention to TigerKat that it's here! Glad to hear you enjoyed RR. I thought that salmon apptz. was delish, but I would be one to be bothered by it being served less than cold. Or mashed potatoes that weren't piping hot.

Thanks so much for the review my friend!;)

We're really looking forward to RR, not only for the food but the live music also!!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the review! I have an ADR for Raglan Road on Friday night and I can't wait!
