Eating there the end of this week. Particularly interested in your favorite main dishes and desserts. Has anyone ever had the Risotto, Shepherd's Pie, or Fish and Chips? Also, there are so many great sounding desserts. I've heard how great Ger's Bread Pudding is. Any others stand out?

This was amazing-
Braised Be Beef
Braised beef colcannon mashed potatoes and roasted veggies

So filling that I did not get any dessert. But we also had a little dessert a few hours before dinner at DS :)

Our family went for the 1st time on our last trip. It is now scheduled as a MUST HAVE location for us. The food was fantastic and the entertainment alot of fun! We had an ADR, but had to wait about 45 mins...but sat at the bar and enjoyed the people watching. We had the Fish and Chips....the flavor is fantastic and there is ALOT of it. Hubby had the Risotto and loved it!! Our daughter had the Shepard's Pie and thought it was yummy, but too filling for her....and helped me eat my fish and chips. Go figure..silly 16year olds...

I've had the Risotto and the Fish & Chips.

The risotto had good flavor. I really liked the fresh vegetables (peas, lettuce, mushrooms).

The Fish & Chips are brought to the table in a inverted cone and then poured on the plate. The fish & chips was very good; nice and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Of the three fish & chips we tried on our last trip (Raglan Road, Yorkshire Fish House, and LTT), Raglan Road's was the best.

I also really like "Sod the Stew". It had a deep, rich flavor and lots of meat and veggies.

In terms of desserts, my favorite is the Jaffa Dunbrody Kiss. It's a rich chocolate mousse, covered with chocolate ganache. So rich and so good!

My daughter loved that as well. Probably her favorite dish at Disney. I really liked the heavenly ham.

I highly recommend the appetizer combo - the battered sausages especially are a can't miss with the Dailey mustard (also available at the quick service). I found the ham to be the best I've ever had. The steaks are also very good. I didn't think the fish and chips were better than the quick service at Epcot or US. I wouldn't recommend the mixed grill unless you aren't very hungry and want to sample a few different things you may or may not like. The bread pudding is better than 'Ohana because of the sauces in my opinion.

Is there shrimp in the risotto? Does anyone have pics of the Shepherd's Pie?

I love the Serious Steak with a side of truffle fries! I couldn't give up the bread pudding to try anything else lol.

I have had the Fish and Chips and the Shepard's Pie in past trips. I really enjoyed the Fish and Chips and they reminded me of some I had while in London many years ago. The Shepard's Pie was okay in my opinion, but my mom loved it and got it every single trip. It wasn't bad, but I just didn't enjoy it as much as I have other offerings. My number one favorite entree was the lamb shank, but it appears it is no longer on the menu. Sad about that if it is true. It was amazing.

Also, I really enjoy the Pate appetizer. So good!

I never have gotten dessert there as I am usually stuffed before I get to that point AND I have a love affair with Goofy's Candy Company caramel apples.

My family has had all 3. The risotto is my favorite. They once had a lobster risotto. I patiently await its return. My wife loves the sheperds pie. They also do a "pie" of the day. My wife will get that sometimes too.

I know that you used to be able to add shrimp. I had the risotto in August but I cant for the life of me remember if I had shrimp with it or not. As someone mentioned earlier, the Dalky Duo app is great. Also if you are a drinker they have happy hour until 6 at the Hole in the Wall bar next door. We usually hit that up for a drink or two before hand.

I am envious of all my fellow disboarders on this thread as we went in December for lunch for the first time and the ovens were broken so no food available :(

I love Raglan Road. It's my favorite restaurant after Jiko. The fish and chips, shepherd's pie, and bread pudding are all outstanding. allears has a picture of the shepherd's pie-someone was asking for a picture.

The Heaven on Earth ribs are the most aptly named food on the planet. The schnitzel and ham are my favorite entrees.

I ordered the shepherd's pie and it was good, but DH had the schnitzel and I've never been so envious of someone else's food in my life! So good.

The bread pudding was fantastic...just wish they wouldn't ruin such a delicious item by putting raisins in it. YUCK.

Another vote for the schnitzel and scallop forest. I was too full for dessert, gotta plan better for next time because it looked amazing.

Figment_jii"s photo in post #2 upthread shows shrimp in the risotto.

Has anyone had the brunch there? It sound delicious from the menu
We've been to the weekend brunch and I had the Full On Irish Breakfast which was a lot of very delicious food. The dancers start at noon so there was plenty of entertainment during our brunch.

Is a reservation needed to eat here? We will be there on a weekday on February.
