Hey all. I'm still on my trip on a crappy laptop so I can't get too wordy or add pics but I thought I'd give a quick review in case people are making decisions!

My party consists of my parents (71 and 65), Me (45), my DD (17), her friend (18), and my son (14). No little kids here!

Our first night here we went to an off-site restaurant in Celebration called Cafe D'Antonio. Won't bore you with the details here but the review is on the Orlando and Other Area Attactions board. This place gets a 5 out of 5. Great food and loved driving through Celebration.

Our second night we went to Raglan Road based on great reviews here. I give this a 4 out of 5. We really enjoyed this place. The Shepherds Pie was great if you like that type of thing. My son and I aren't picky eaters but felt like we wanted something plain so we got Jus' Chicken and it was tasty. Great meal for someone who might be picky. My son subbed his mashed potatoes for chips. I wish I had done that. They were wonderful. Some of the best fried potatoes I've had. My mom had fish and chips (GREAT). My daughter got a sausage and mashed potato meal. She thought it was "boring" and was disappointed. I ate some of her meal and thought the sausage was excellent, really good, and I'm not a big sausage person! Desserts were very good. The bread pudding is EVERYTHING everyone raves about. It is the best I've ever had and I've had many. My daughter and her friend, devout chocoholics who ordered the Triple chocolate dessert, snickered over bread pudding. Said it was for old people. But after they had it, they agreed that it blew away the chocolate dessert and was one of the best desserts they'd ever eaten. Get this dessert even if you don't think you like bread pudding. My parents ordered a cobbler/crumble thing that wasn't overly impressive. The chocolate trio was just okay. The white chocolate mousse portion was the best. Smooth and good flavor. The dark chocolate portion was good but we all agreed almost tasted like a cup of frosting. The milkshake tasted like weak chocolate milk. That was a disappointment. Restaurant was never really full. I didn't give the restaurant a full "5" because, while I know it's Disney and everything is expensive, I feel like they do give you large portions (which admittedly I don't need). I felt that in this place, the portion on the Jus Chicken was very small for $18-$19. The other meals seemed more of a value. I don't know, I just thought for what we got the dishes should have been about $2-$3 cheaper.

Cape May Breakfast--What can I say, it was as good as the 7 other times we've been there. The food was all kept fresh on the buffet, service was good, interaction great even though we were teens. My son accidentally bumped into Donald on our way to our table and Donald proceeded to pick on him he whole breakfast. Tried to "start a fight with him" and also threw teabags at him. My son, who is kind of shy, was "happily" mortified if that makes sense! Anyway, characters came around about 3 times and we got some good pics. My DD's friend picked me Minnie up for a picture and she seemed to like that. To my surprise, this restaurant was only half full the whole time. I give this a 3.5 of 5 (I don't rate too many Disney buffets much higher than that due to food to value ratio).

Biergarten - I liked this place. Haven't been in about 13 years. While the food was not "WOW" worthy, all the selections on the buffet had good flavor, good temperature, and variety. I enjoyed my food especially the carved pork loin. Very moist and flavorful. I also liked many of the cold salads. The desserts were okay, slightly lackluster for the most part. But overall we enjoyed our food. The band came out once during our stay and were good. As has been so far, the restaurant was half empty. Strange for July. I am also giving this a 3.5 out of 5.

Well, these weren't so short afterall. Tonight we are going to the HDDR for the umpteenth time. I wasn't going to go but my DD wanted to go as her friend has never been. Had no problem getting a category 1 reservation last minute.

:worship: thanks for that review of raglan road, my party have been going back and forward on booking there ! xx

Thanks for the reviews, we are finally decided on lunch at Raglan Road for October - sounds like we made the right choice :)

Thanks for the reviews. I have been trying to figure out if we should do Raglan Road or not. Sounds good. :)

Appreciate your reviews. We are eating Cape May for b'fast for the first time in Oct. I am not expecting 5 star food just a decent b'fast before we get on the road home. Sounds like it will be what we are looking for this trip.

You will like it. It is quite peaceful there as opposed to some other character breakfasts. The food is good by the way, just not gourmet.
