Rae & Veranda Man's 50th celebration2005

Count me in for summer of 2005!!! I won't quite be at the 45 point, just 10 years away!!!!

This is going to be an amazing party!!!

OMG...Can you believe if this really comes about. This would be one heck of a FAMILY celebration.

When is the expected dates for DCL to put out 2005 bookings? Don't they only go to April first, then put out the summer dates later?

Joanna

Bumping this up as I'm getting dizzy switching between several other threads to see what dates we may be talking about. Blame my age for not being able to keep up - DH and I will both be 45 in 2005. Another reason why we should cruise!

July or early August might work for us if we were talking about summer rather than April. How far ahead do Disney release dates?

Karen

I want to book on this one too! April is awesome for me, my favorite time to cruise(actually any week except when the kdis are out of school is my favorite time to cruise!) but I get 6 weeks vacation a year and can pick them anytime I want so anything would be good...other than the crowded spring recess weeks....

Going to be summer - Andy and BD need to come up with a few ideas about when since it's their school systems who dictate the schedules.

I'm going regardless - and KEH, I'd love to have you there too!!!
The more the merrier!

Again, this is an open invitation to all to join us - just hold on to your vacation plans for 2005 until we can get the dates established and hopefully they will work for you.

Rae

Sounds good to me. BD and I have the same school schedule. Seems towards the end of August the prices are way, way less.

Joanna

Let's try to plan it when the prices are lowest - that way more can go. Also, doesn't Florida give their residents a break on trips then?

The more we can do to help others go with us, the better it will be.

Rae

Sounds GREAT to me, Rae. How do you want to pay for our cruise, cash or credit???... lol.

Seems the week before Labor Day, is real inexpensive. I am doing that week in 2004. The price for 4 of us in a SPR is $2895.

Anyway a couple of hundred dollars either way for an August week is fine with me, but like Rae said, the lower prices may get others to sail also.

Sounds like FUN!!!!!!

Can't wait to see how this pans out.

Joanna

:D

How wonderful to put the plans together. I would love to be on board for this gathering. I'm pretty sure we are cruising that season...to Alaska. 30th anniversary that year for DH and I. The whole ship could be a *party* ship! Birthdays, anniversaries, Disneylands 50th. The possibilities are limitless. Will wait to hear more and a definite DISailing date!

I will continue to watch this thread, as I think we may join you. We are having a baby early next year (found out yesterday that it is a BOY) and I want to wait at least a year to take the baby so your timing may be perfect for us!! If we join you it will be me, DH, DS 3 1/2, and DS 1+. Sounds like great fun to us!!

Christy

Welcome aboard Christy and congratulations on your son.

Okay, guys. Summer could be more tricky for us but I'm not giving up yet. Forgive my English lack of knowledge but when is Labour Day?

Karen -

Labor day is the first Monday in September. It is our equivalent of your Late Summer Holiday.

Thank you figment 52. Our schools go back at the beginning of September - they returned yesterday so that might be a bit tight for us but hey, who cares if they are a bit jet lagged going back to school as long as they have had a MAGICal time. (Only joking, I do care really.

Believe it or not, I care mum! Although I slept through most of Physics today so I'd be fine if I happened to be taking that.

We cruised on 8-23-03 which was classified as value season, and we booked for 8-21-04, also classified as value season next year, so according to my 2005 calendar, I'm guessing that 8/20/05 and 8/27/05 sailings would be classified value season again.

Now, who wants to go Eastern, and who wants to go Western? That's the next equation that needs looking into!!!

Decisions!!! Decisions!!! Decisions!!!

Hello all, I read more then I post but would love to join this group. The 8/20 would be better for us, as DH is a school teacher and would not be able to go to late, also the other one would run into school( I think.) especially when you add in travle time...we do not fly.
