Just returned from our cruise and we stayed at the Radisson the night prior. We paid $89 for a regular 'Carribbean' room - 2 queen beds.

We really enjoyed the property. The pool is nice with a waterfall that the kids loved to play under. Theres not a slide or anything but for one night, it was just fine and the kids were happy.

The place is not a five star resort but it is certainly more than adequate. We liked it and I would stay there again. Our room showed some wear and tear but it was clean and the bedding was not worn at all.

We ate breakfast at the buffet on Sunday morning and they had the basics including an omelette station. For dinner the nigth before, we ate at an Italian restaurant next to the hotel. It was good basic italian food and we all were happy with our meals. They are family oriented too.

Sounds like you had a good stay at the Radisson! We are looking forward to our stay there before our cruise next month. The new carpet and renovations are supposed to begin soon! We will have a King Suite... so that should be very nice!

You mention the breakfast buffet. Does this resort include breakfast or was that extra $? If so, how much?

Thanks

Thanks for the report. We stay there again in Oct. Our only complaint last time was the mosquitos at the pool in the early evening. Is this still a problem.
ADDOT...
Unless they changed the policy, the breaskfast is extra.

Hi RellingTwin.

Our only complaint last time was the mosquitos at the pool in the early evening. Is this still a problem.

Not for the mosquitos...

The mosquitos were still there in full force. My son's friend looked he had been bitten about 100 times!

We were a group of ten staying at the Radison on July 18th and I didn't hear anyone complain about mosquitos. Some of us were in the pool til 6:30PM. I usually get eaten alive by mosquitos in Maryland, but I didn't notice a mosquito problem in Fla..

We are going to stay there for our cruise in October. I have been told that you can park your car there while you are gone for no extra charge and they have a complementary shuttle to take you to the Port. Do you know if that is true? If you used the shuttle, does it have pre-arranged time that it leaves, or will they take you when you are ready? I really want to show up early! Thanks.

The shuttle is free. I am going Aug 31 and I received the following message from the GM:
we begin taking people to the ships about 10:20 and depending on the ship
when they let people people onboard - this sometimes varies - just sign up for it
when you check in

There is a McD's across the street. My DH went there and brought breakfast back to the room for the rest of us. Remember when you get on the ship there is a HUGE buffet waiting for you!
