We have a reservation for both of these hotels in December, There will be dh, myself and our 2 boys 6yrs and almost 3 yrs. I've read reviews on both hotels and they seem really nice, I've got them both at the same great rate. I'm just wondering about their heated pools, I know it will be cool at night and I just want to make sure the kids will still be able to go in the pool then. Any experience? I think I read the radisson has a small heated pool in addition to their bigger pool(which is not heated?). Help please!! I don't want to be stuck in the hotel room with the family because the pools aren't sufficient. Thanks!

I can't comment on the Radisson as I've only stayed at the Worldgate, but loved the Safari. Don't know if the pool is heated, but it has an awesome pool slide (79 ft. serpant slide) - also a hot tub and kids pool/play area.

The other advantage is it's right outside WDW gates and a couple minute drive to DTD. Has some good restaurants/stores within walking distance of the resort.

Here's a link to their website:

HTH!!! :teeth:

On the Sheraton Safari, Are the City View rooms better or the Pool View rooms better ?I remember reading sometime ago that one of the guests saying that they had a good view of fireworks ( which would be the CityView i recoken)

I stayed at the RRP last fall and it was great. It is also very close to WDW. There is one pool with a slide that is not heated. The other pool is still pretty big and nice and warm. We loved this hotel and would stay there again.

I've only had a pool view room while there.

The only fireworks that are close by are the ones at Pleasure Isl at DTD. They usually go off at midnight.

Anyone else???

I stayed at the Safari and saw fireworks from my room located on the top floor looking out towards Pizza Hut. The fireworks are pretty far away so what you see is pretty small.

I stayed at RRP even before it became RRP. It used to be Ramada Resort before Radisson bought it. It was great before and after Radisson, they renovated all the room so it is even better. They advertise as the closest to WDW because they are right off the exit ramp from the highway. There are quite a few buildings to this resort...get a pool view if you can.
