Hello everyone,

I have booked to stay at the RRP for the first 4 nights stay in Orlando (moving on to a villa after). I have read loads of the earlier threads about the hotel and my question is what building and floor should I request? I have booked the family 4 go package (b'fast for 4 included) with pool views. I think it should be building 1000 if I have got the gist of the previous threads but should I request a certain floor? Have heard one or two people mention the noise from the pool area. Would it therefore be better to be above the 4th floor?

Also as a Brit we are not used to the plus tax and gratuity thing. I gather that tax is 12% but is the gratuity added to my bill as a percentage or is that just a tip I leave for the maids etc. Also if it is a discretionary tip how much is expected and do I just leave it at the end of my stay? Sorry to sound so naive but haven't been to US since I was a child and my parents sorted everything that time!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Heather

Just returned from the Radisson - I think building 1000 is the best located building for convenience to the pool, rest., etc. The rooms on the bottom floor had sliding doors that you could open and sit outside - we were in building 2000 so I can't speak to the noise level.
You will only be charged taxes on the room, not gratuity - except at the breakfast buffet, 15% was automatically added on, which was a little higher than I normally pay at a buffet - but the food was definately worth it, made to order fresh omelets, the best coffee I have ever had in my life, my son proclaimed the chocolate milk "to die for" - (and children under 10 eat for free).

Let me know if I can be of any further help! Enjoy your trip to Orlando.
