Radisson Resort Orlando - Celebration

I stayed there quite a few years ago and while I'm sure the rooms/etc have been refurbished, what sticks out in my mind was that the pool (which was gorgeous with a waterfall) was absolutely freezing cold. I have read since that it is still unheated. I was there in the height of summer and the water didn't even feel refreshing, just cold.

Okay - Went online to book the special Mousesavers rate, which is supposed to be good for bookings done by 04/22/07. It was there yesterday, and now it is gone! :headache: Their reservations line is only open until 5 pm ET  . The regular online rate through Expedia, et al is the same as the Mousesavers rate now. !! Has anyone else experienced this? I'm so frustrated.

An update: Whenever I have called the reservation line (during regular business hours!) I constantly get the recording that it is NOT regular hours. I called Radisson regular Reservations, and they said they finally got through by pressing zero. I have tried it 5 times - then get a different recording for a different company!  I sent a detailed, polite, e-mail Tuesday morning requesting them to contact me, but still NOTHING. To heck with them, and I will never stay at that Radisson. I don't care what rate I could get at this point - it's not like they are the only game in town! :headache:

We visit Orlando a few times a year and the Radisson has gone down in family history as a hotel picking failure. It was 2 maybe 3 years ago and my family didn't like it at all because the rooms were a little stinky and in a need of a good scrubbing. The unheated pool with the waterslide was freezing after the sun went down.

Hopefully things have gotten better since then but I won't be giving them another chance.

ok now I'm getting worried - I have the radisson orlando celebration booked for a trip to seaworld/universal in august. Didnt this property get "renovated" since the past 2/3 years and change names to the "celebration orlando"?

Anyone with more insight?
