Hi, we stayed at the Radisson Towers (accross from Universal studios) in august of last year. We had a regular room. The room was a good size (not big but not small either), we liked the bright colors they used for the decor, if I remember correctly blue, yellow and orange. There were two double beds, a table with two chairs and an armoire for the tv. The bathroom was ok, with plenty of space to put your stuff. The room was clean and nice. The lobby was also nice, we did not use the pool so I can' t comment on that. The staff was good too. We actually walked to Universal studios but they had a shuttle to take you there (we did not want to wait for it since it deserve a few others hotels). They had a few restaurants on the premises.
I don' t know how it compare to Disney hotels since I have never stayed at one. But I can say that the Radisson had no theming at all. It is simply a regular, maybe a bit upscale hotel. But we liked our stay there very much.
