What is Radio Disney and where, and on what device, do you listen to it?

Marilee.....still shivering in Oregon, but the ice pack is melting!

You can find your local station on the website - http://www.radiodisney.com/

Here in Boston it's AM 1260 - which means we can only listen to it as we're closer to Boston because for some reason my AM radio in my car is awful! *grin*

We listen to it alot, it's fun and has all the "latest" kid songs that my two like (ages 9 and 11)

You can also pick up Radio Disney on XM Satelite Radio ..... Andy

Here in Philly, PA it is at AM640 and my kids have it on ALL THE TIME!!! Althoug it doesn't come in very well at night.....not sure why.

My only cmplaint is that they play ALOT of commercials...but the music is OK

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: Al ittle sunshine to warm you up!

We can't get Radio Disney by us (Columbus, Ohio) No station in Columbus, but even if there was we're way out on the fringes and have aluminum siding --can't pick up much in here.

BUT....for my birthday I got an XM Radio!! Radio Disney is channel 115. In fact, right now the kids are listening to "story time" on it. I'm hearing the story of The Lion King. :) There's lots of other cool stuff on XM Radio....I'm really liking it. Only problem is, if I switch it to something else it somehow turns itself back to Radio Disney. I suspect there's two little kids in the house who know WAY more about technology than I did at their ages!

From your location listed and comparing it to the Radio Disney site, looks like you are about 80 miles (give or take) from the nearest broadcasting center....in Portland.

If you can receive KDZR AM 1640, you're all set!!!

Good luck!
Let us know!!

When you are at MGM Studios in FL, you can stop by Mon. thru Fri. at 4:10 or so and join in on the meet 'n greet with BB Good. She broadcasts from 12:00-4:00 live from the studios. The broadcast booth is around the corner from the Drew Carey Monster Sound Show. (I go there wayyyyyy toooooo much.)
MGM is now DD's favorite park because BB is there and she gets to see her everytime we are down there. We plan our park days to be there on a weekday.

Like Jilljill said, you can watch BB do her show Mon-Fri 12:00-4:00. We did this last month and BB mentioned our kids names on the air and where they were from, noting that they were visiting WDW.
She then came out to meet them, gave them a bag with all sorts of goodies in it, including personalized autographs and a tape of her talking about them on the air. It was very cool! :D

It's also on Sirius satellite radio (which my family uses to listen to Radio Disney).

Rumor has it that the portable XM and Sirius radios will work in the Caribbean (even while at sea on a ship). So, for Radio Disney fans that just can't tear themselves away, you can bring a portable satellite radio, and listen on the Magic or Wonder! :p
