My husband and I went last year and from what I could tell it was the same as the show from the year before. This year we're taking our boys so I guess I'll see then.
I think that most of the routines stay the same every year....there may be new routines added every few years, but the soldiers, the dancing bears, the nativity scenes are there every year. I've gone about 8 times over the past 20 years.
I saw the Rockettes for the first time in 1995 (NYC) while living in Boston. Then again in 1999 (NYC) while still living in Boston. Then moved to NJ, saw it every year 2000-2004 (NYC). Then saw the traveling show in Boston, MA in 2005 and 2007. It was the same show every time.
Now I am living in CA....wish I could see it out here.
Hmmm...okay, thanks all! We did see it about 2 years ago and were looking for some theatre or something to do on Thanksgiving day after the Parade..no theatre open but this is and I wondered if perhaps there was a new slant on it..maybe?? But seems not to be.
I think there were pretty big changes when they had the anniversary a few years ago...I went 2 years ago and they had some new costumes as well as a couple of new routines...one I can remember was the revolving bus routine.
We go every year. In fact, we're going on Sat. About every 3 years, they make more major changes. The years inbetween, they make little changes. This will be year 3, so I'd expect more changes next year.
I like the old Navity scene much better (One Solitary Life) than the current one. The new one is nice, but doesn't have the "wow" factor like the old one.
