We are waiting on the Title Co to file our resale papers. Of course I couldn't wait to head back to WDW (going June 9-13), so I booked a room at Beach Club. As a soon to be DVC member, is there a discount on the BC room?

Also, is it a pretty small possibility that a BCV (1 BR) would be available on such short notice? If I try to book one through Disneys website, they aren't available--so that would mean I couldn't get one, right?

Congrats on your pending membership!

You have to be a member to get the discount. There are two kinds of room inventory and they are booked seperately. To see if the 25% member discount were available, you'd have to call member services and ask for it. They would then see if they have any rooms available and offer you the discount. This only applies to rooms at DVC resorts. If your room is in the regular Beach Club, we don't receive any discounts at non-DVC resorts.

The "two inventories" also comes into play when you are reserving rooms. Just because Disney's site doesn't show availability doesn't mean that there aren't rooms available to be booked on points.

It's probably unlikely but not impossible that something will be available for you. If you are open to other resorts as welll, your odds will increase.

Are you looking for a discount on a regular BC room (not BCV)? DVC does not offer discounts for non-DVC rooms.
